I believe people who actually try and do their work should be treated as a colleague. I do not think everyone has earned this year. Why? We had since the beginning of the year to do our masterpiece yet some fail to even do it. Our class has been taking a roller coater down by lacking on the blogs, not doing masterpieces, and much more. No not at all do I think our class has earned the trust or respect to be treated as colleagues.I loved the novel Catcher in the Rye, it was a great novel that we read this year. This novel just shows how a teenager thinks and how we do things now. Holden definitely relates to a teenager in this novel by how he acts and displays himself. Another character that caught my attention was Stradlater. He was the typical stuck up popular guy, which relates to high school. I thought this novel was amazing just because it relates so much to how we think, live, and do in high school.A thing that made me laugh out loud during this course was how Dr. Preston would give students so many chances to help their grade yet they refuse to try in this course. At the beginning of the year I didnt care too much or try the hardest I could, but after chances I have taken I haven improved. I just think its funny how it can take one person to realize at the end of the semester oh no Im failing. Like really?!Molly, Mikayla, Rachel, Mario, and Nathans masterpiece presentations all had a certain unique passion. Each person had a special thing they had a passion about. Mollys presentation was her being successful in performing arts and dance. One thing that caught my eye was even if you sucked at first keep going keep trying and eventually you can do it and be successful. Mikaylas presentation was on family, how much they mean to her and how important they are. She pointed out even friends can be family, they dont have to be family related to be family. Family is somebody who is always there for you. Rachels presentation was on traveling and how much she loves doing it. I think she should follow her dreams and do the thing she loves and be successful. Marios presentation was on soccer about the team he had coached. How he helped them be successful even if they are losing not to give up ever! Nathans Presentation was on music and his passion about it, and how he makes you tube videos. He seems successful and not a person that gives up, like everyone should do!!Are you a hero? Sometimes I do consider myself a hero, yes. When I did my presentation on cyberbullying I want to be a hero and help fight the battle people are going through. I have helped many friends through it. I hope to conquer this challenge more as life goes on. If I see it online help to try to get it stopped, help schools make this die down. Hopefully one day it can start to die down and people are happier.
