Year 4 Day Plan- Wednesday 22nd April 2020
Today we are learning to:
- Read a text and find the main idea
- Punctuate a writing passage and write another paragraph
- Partition (break-up) 5 digit numbers using standard partitioning
- Practise our 3’s facts using different strategies
- Identify and sort living and non-living things
I will need: An exercise book, pencil/whiteboard, whiteboard markers.
You do NOT have to print any pages as all activities can be completed with the materials listed above.
9-10am
Reading Comprehension Read the text provided below (Turtles) and answer the following questions attached in your exercise books.

10 – 11am
English Complete today’s writing task which can be found below. Take a photo of your writing and send it to your teacher. Remember to fix the errors throughout the paragraph and re-write it correctly.

12 – 1:30pm Maths Warm Up Practise your 3 times tables Some strategies include: - Skip counting - Calculator counting - Saying them aloud to a family member - Writing them down using: book, whiteboard, chalk and concrete -Making multiples of 3 using materials- drawing, using Lego, cards or other toys.
Maths Lesson – Number Use your whiteboard/exercise book and complete the place value worksheet below.
Enjoy a conversation with your family. Do 15 star jumps and three yoga poses!
2:00-2:15pm: Choose an activity from the Year 4 Health and Wellbeing choice board (See below).
2:15-2:45pm: Science
Living and Non-living (See worksheet below)
2:45-3:00pm: What went well- Discuss with a family member what went well today? What did you really enjoy?
