Any old pots? Have you found old pieces of pottery in your garden or fields? Do you
have a pottery related surname or are you a descendent of famous potters? York
Archaeological Trust would like to meet you @hovinghammarket.
Local archaeologists are running a project to locate the known and potential 17th
century kiln sites in the Howardian Hills. Please bring along any pottery and wasters
that you have found in your gardens and fields so that they can be identified.
York Archaeological Trust are very much looking forward to meeting you and sharing
your knowledge of this rich and beautiful landscape. The project is supported by the
Howardian Hills and York Archaeological Trust.
