GIANT FLAG POLES

Having a professional team, Enti Engineering Co. performs production and erection of galva-nized, painted and stainless steel giant flag poles according to the demand of its custom-ers.

Giant flag poles are designed to withstand 160 km/hr wind speed and also to carry 50 m2 – 600 m2 area of flags.

The foundation design and static calculations of the poles are done by expert engineers.

There are two options for the poles which are circular conical and polygonal.

The parts of giant flag poles are assembled by internal flanges or slip – joint.

By the agreement signed with Ellite Construc-tion company in February 2015, Enti Engineering undertook the project of 3 giant flagpoles which were being planned to be erected in the cities of Turkmenbashi, Balkanabat and Dashkhovuz in Turkmenistan.

Enti Engineering, adopting the principle of representing domestic production and industry abroad in the best way, have accomplished successfully the design, production and erection of Turkmenistan giant flag poles in a short span of 4 months, accordingly strengthened its expe-rience and prestige in the field of monumental engineering.

Anıtkabir Flag Pole

33 meter one – piece flagpole was reproduced by remaining stick to the original one and took over the watch of Anıtka-bir flag on 29 October 2013 by an official ceremony.

Enti Engineering staff, who showed great self devotion during the reproducing of Anıtkabir flagpole, which is accepted as the most important Turkish flagpole on the world on behalf of Turkish people, will carry and keep alive forever the gladness of completing this special project.

Anıtkabir Flag Pole

Brass Base

It is used for vertical movement to the flag in giant flag poles. Main components are drum, gearbox, electric motor and control panel. The drum, into which steel rope is wrapped, is at the center of the pole and assemblied to the plate, which is fixed in the pole, by the help of bolts. There are 2 kinds of winch systems which are standart and portable. Within standart winch system, for every pole, there are electric motor, gearbox and control board. All these components are in included in the flag pole system.

In portable winch system, where it is used in multi – unit fields, one or two eşectrical motor gearbox systems are provided for all poles in the field. As the operator assemblies the winch system to the pole, the raising – lowering oper-ation of the elevator system can be performed. This system, which brings advantage for total cost is preferred in multi – unit fields.

In poles having big flags, a special – designed big winch systems, which can brake the dynamic loads of the wind on the flag, are used instead of a standart winch system.

These systems, which are designed PLC oriented, are operated with remote control. Drum rotating speed can be adjusted by touch – operated board.

It is a system which enables flag rotating without tangling.

With the help of ball bearing and pulleys located on top of the pole, the flag can rotate with the connected rope, according to the wind direction. One end of the rope, going down inside the pole body, is connected to the hand held unit or electrical winch system on the base of the flag pole.

In small poles, the connection is ensured by cleat. The other end of the rope, coming from the top of the pole, carries the flag and is connected to the pole ensuring rotating movement in the down align-ment of the flag.

By this way, the rope is not seen except the level of flag around the pole. At the same time, the flag can rotate 360 degrees. Upon demand, a solar warning lamp is placed on top of the pole.

Top rotational & winch system and flag tube of 25 mt custom manufac-tured circular conical stainless steel pole are produced from stainless steel as the the body of the pole.

AISI 304 and AISI 316 quality stainless plate and tube are used in the production of stainless steel flag poles.

Anchor bolt, which is used for the foundation assembly, is defined by considering static calculations. Number of unit, quality and diameter infor-mation are available. Anchor bolt, which is attached to the foundation structure with the help of the template, connects foundation concrete structure with pole.

At the factory of Enti Engineering Co. galvanized polygonal poles and pole systems are produced in addition to giant flag poles in which mounted or non – mounted service is given according to the customer demand.

Design dimensions of the standart poles can be found in the catalog. Non – standart designs can be done according to the demanded wind load and projector types. Besides pole design, foundation design can be done according to specified ground properties.

Electric Panel

A special glass is used for flag pole lighting as projec-tors look upwards.

The number of projector is defined according to the height of the flag pole, dimension of the flag and demanded lighting level. In order projectors to light only in darkness, a custom manufactured ballast board with astronomic time board is used.
