DESCRIPTION

The differences between entrepreneur and intrapreneur are presented. The faculty who take risk and develop global programs, bid and undertake global projects under MNCs are termed as intrapreneurs. They utilize the existing resources of the institute. They have to be spported for further growth of the institute and knowldge capital. The process of suuporting the intrapreneurs is presented.

production at certain prices in order to combine them into a product with a view to selling it at uncertain prices in future.

• Knight described entrepreneur to be a specialised group of persons who bear uncertainty.

MOTIVE• Entrepreneur: To start a venture by

setting up an enterprise. He understands the venture for his personal gratification.

• Manager: To render his services in an enterprise already set up by someone else.

enterprise.• Manager: the servant in the

enterprise owned by the entrepreneur.

what and how to produce goods to meet the changing demands of the customers (Innovator / Change agent).
