Our Mission

To create a positive and safe learning environment for children where they can learn the fundamentals of team sports in order to help them grow up to

become respectful, confident and responsible individuals.

What does RISE stand for?

• R – Respect for parents, coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials. We expect our player’s behavior to be beyond reproach.

• I – Intellect both on and off the court. Each player will be required to submit a report card each marking period.

• S –Sacrifice. Not only on the court, but to help those less fortunate.

• E – Effort. Teach kids the rewards of hard work.

According to ScholarshipStat.com

• Only 5.9% of all high school basketball players go on to play in college at any level

• Only 1.2% of eligible college players were drafted by the NBA

• Which means that the odds of a high school basketball player making the NBA stands at .03%!

Goals and Objectives

• Teach the fundamentals• Provide an supportive environment for those who aren’t

ready yet to grow into better players• For those more advanced, prepare them to make and

compete on their school teams• Create competitive AAU teams and rec teams• Mentor kids on and off the floor• Create a club that the East Orlando community can be

proud of

2015/16 Schedule

• October through December – Skill development and training• Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at Odyssey MS• 6:30-7:30PM – Skill Development• 7:00-8:30PM – 12U Practice

• November 7th – 12U Black and 12U Red will compete in the Open Winter Springs Basketball League

2015/16 Schedule

• Depending on volume of players at each age group and available coaches, additional teams may be created to begin play in January

• In January, 12U Black will begin AAU and YBOA tournament play and 12U Red will play in either WSBL or FBVA and local tournaments

Requirements of Parents

• Register child for AAU• www.aauboysbasketball.org• EO Rise Club #WWA3D7• Enroll for the $16 membership

• Participate – Team parents, videographers, organize car pools, fundraisers, statisticians, help find sponsors, coach, webmaster

• Be role models for all children in the club, both on and off the court• Be on time

Costs

• Team Fee (For those on competitive teams)• $295 per player per season (non-refundable)

• League Fees• Tournament Fees

• Monthly Training• $45 per month• Bi-weekly training sessions each month (based on school calendar)• RISE T-Shirt• Mesh practice jersey

Summary

• With fundraising and sponsorships, we can reduce parents out of pocket expense. Any ideas would be welcomed.

• There will be no child left behind. Money will never determine if a child is part of EO Rise…REGARDLESS OF TALENT

• By bringing together diversified areas of East Orlando, we believe we can help mold kids into productive members of society
