Participation of Partner Countries in SP projects?

• Partner countries can participate in a Strategic Partnerships as a partner

• “A partner country partner” should bring an essential added value to the project

• Consider:

• Is this partner really unique?

• Can it be replaced by a European partner?

• Would all the outputs, results in the project be achieved without the Partner country partner?

Two types of partnerships• Depending on the objectives and the composition of the Strategic Partnership, projects

may be of two types:

A. Strategic Partnerships supporting innovation (relevant for all fields of education)

• Strategic partnership project must address

a) at least one horizontal priority or

b) at least one field-specific priority

Priorities

and guidelines intended for internal use for the project

• Leaflets, websites, blogs, wikis, newsletters, light needs analysis

For producing suchproducts you can notapply for IntellectualOutput support (withproject management

Budget Framework

7 different cost items, from which applicants will choose the items, according to the project’s activities.

Budget rules in the Programme Guidehttps://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/programme-guide/part-b/three-key-actions/key-action-2/strategic-partnerships-field-education-training-youth_en

Budget items based on UNIT COSTS (items 1-5):

1. Management: unit cost per MONTH per ORGANISATION2. Project Meetings: NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS in project meetings / DISTANCE BAND3. Number of planned WORKING DAYS needed to produce intellectual outputs (4 staff

categories, 4 country categories)4. Organisational costs of multiplier events based on NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

(categories for domestic and foreign participants from organisations outside the partnership)

5. Number of mobilities planned for learning/teaching/training activities (depends on DURATION and DISTANCE BAND)

In the final report: no real costs have to be reported, but how activites, mobilities, events have been carried out.

relevant for all projects

The extent to which theproject is cost-effectiveand allocates appropriateresources to each activity

The proposal provides value for money in terms of the results planned as compared tothe grant requested. The grant request is realistic for a good quality implementation of the planned activities.

The existence andrelevance of qualitycontrol measures toensure that the projectimplementation is of highquality, completed in timeand on budget

The proposal foresees appropriate evaluation activities at critical stages of the project, which will allow to measure the progress and quality of the project activities and outcomes, the appropriate use of funds. The quality control measures will allow the project to take any necessary corrective measures in time.

discussed

• Confirmation of administrative support, especially important in the coordinating institution• Project members commitment (especially important if the three-year project)

Page 46: Erasmus+ for Higher Education Webinar for Applicants · The proposal foresees appropriate evaluation activities at critical stages of the project, which will allow to measure the

• Consider ethical issues already when you are writing/starting theproject

• Plan carefully measurement tools for evaluation

• Use your international contacts; e.g. exchanges, earlier cooperatiion
