GENERALINFORMATIONERASMUS RECRUITMENT DAYS

The Erasmus Recruitment Days is the largest on-

campus recruitment event in Europe. This year

the Erasmus Recruitment Days will take place

from January 26th until February 10th on campus

Woudestein of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Over 100 leading companies from eight different

sectors will participate. The Erasmus Recruitment

Days are open to students from all study

backgrounds, although the activities are mainly

focused on Economics and Business students. This

is your opportunity to show renowned companies

what you have to offer. Are you ready to crown

your competence? Subscribe for the Erasmus

Recruitment Days!

Once you have purchased an Erasmus Recruitment

Days ticket, there is no limit to the number of

activities you can sign up for. Subscriptions are

open from November 30th 2015 until January

6th 2016. The deadline for uploading your CV and

Recruitment Days.

In the following schedule you will fi nd the

activities we recommend for each study

phase.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

In the general programme, activities that are in

English are marked with an asterisk (*). In the

company overview, you can recognize companies

participating in English by looking at the fi nal column.

Furthermore, International day is a day organized

exclusively for international students.

TRAINING

You can improve your personal skills by participating in

the trainings offered during the Erasmus Recruitment

Days. Different elements of recruitment will be

covered, such as your CV, job interviews, personal

branding and assessment skills.

COMPANY PRESENTATION

A company presentation is the perfect way to get a first

impression of a company. During these presentations

information regarding the career opportunities, the

company culture, the type of students the company

is looking for and the job application procedure will be

covered.

BRANCH INTERNSHIP PITCH

The branch internship pitch is the perfect opportunity

to get insight into the internship possibilities at leading

companies from a specific branch. During the branch

internship pitch, interns from different companies

in a branch will deliver a short pitch describing their

experience and the current internship positions

available at their company. This activity is interactive

and you will be given the opportunity to ask the

interns questions after the pitch, but also during the

recruitment coffee which concludes the activity.

RECRUITMENT DRINK

The daily recruitment drink is a perfect opportunity to

network with companies in an informal setting. The daily

recruitment drink is open to all students participating

in the Erasmus Recruitment Days. Several companies

will have a stand at the drink, providing you with the

opportunity to introduce yourself to the company and

learn more about the company and its operations. The

recruitment drink is organized every day from 5 until 7

pm in the Theil building (C-building).

GRAND OPENING

The grand opening of the Erasmus Recruitment Days will take place on January 26th 2016.

There will be a short ceremony, live entertainment and drinks in the Pavilion.

During an informal recruitment activity you can

get in touch with the company of your choice in

an active and informal setting. Examples include:

a lunch, a beer tasting, or a sports clinic.

BRANCH DINNER

A branch dinner gives you the opportunity to meet

different companies from one specific branch

during a luxurious dinner at restaurant De Harmonie.

After every course you will change tables, enabling

you to speak with representatives from different

companies. During the main course, you will share a

table with the company that has selected you.

COMPANY DINNER

During a company dinner you can enjoy a luxurious

dinner with company representatives. You will have

personal contact with the company. A company

dinner is the perfect opportunity to discover more

about the company culture and the opportunities

they have in store for you.

WORKSHOP

A workshop offers you the unique opportunity to

get insight in the daily practices of the company.

You will work together with fellow students to solve

a case or management game. The workshop will

give you an idea of the type of problems you would

solve as an employee of the company. Furthermore,

you can impress companies with your skills.

ROTTERDAM CARRIÈRE DAG

Rotterdam carrière dag is an off-campus

recruitment activity aimed specifically at students

with a passion for the port of Rotterdam. The

participating companies will introduce themselves

in a short presentation. After the presentations,

you will split up into small groups to solve a case

supervised by one of the companies. You will

present the case to the companies and receive

feedback. At the end of the day you will have the

opportunity to network with the companies while

enjoying some drinks.

INTERNATIONAL DAY

International day is a recruitment activity exclusively

for international students. This activity starts with a

training about navigating the Dutch labour market.

After this you will join a workshop of one of the

participating multinational companies. The workshop

will give you insight into the daily practices of the

company. Afterwards you can network with the

companies at the recruitment drink.

NEW VENTURE DAY

New venture day is a recruitment activity

aimed specifically at students interested in

entrepreneurship. Several fast-growing start-ups

will give a short presentation about their company.

After the presentations you will split up into small

groups to solve a case, supervised by one of the

start-ups. The day will end with drinks, where you

can network with the different companies.

INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEW

An interview allows you to get in touch with the company in a personal way. An interview allows you to get

in touch with the company in a personal way. An interview will take either 30 or 50 minutes. The duration of

the interview will be indicated on the ERD website for each company.

SPECIALISEDRECRUITMENT

WHERE DO I FIND MY PERSONAL SCHEDULE?

You can view your schedule online by logging in

to our website (www.erd.nl) and clicking on ‘my

activities’. Your schedule will be available no later

than January 22nd 2016.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE EVENT?

For workshops, interviews, dinners and lunches,

you are expected to be dressed in business formal

attire. The dress code for presentations, trainings

and informal recruitment activities is business

casual.

WHAT WILL BE DONE WITH MY PERSONAL DATA?

Your anonymous CV and motivation will be visible

to the companies you have applied for. Upon

selecting you, companies will receive your personal

information.

FAQ

WHY DO I HAVE TO UPLOAD MY CV

ANONYMOUSLY?

You need to upload your CV anonymously so that

we can guarantee only the companies that have

selected you receive your contact details. If your

CV is not anonymous, we cannot send your CV to

the companies you have applied for. This implies

you cannot be selected.

WHAT IS THE ERASMUS RECRUITMENT PLATFORM?

The Erasmus Recruitment Platform is the year-round online extension of the Erasmus Recruitment Days.

If you subscribe for the Erasmus Recruitment Days, you automatically have an Erasmus Recruitment

Platform account. On the Erasmus Recruitment Platform you can find company profiles, job vacancies

and recruitment activities all year round. The Erasmus Recruitment Days website is linked directly to the

Erasmus Recruitment Platform.

HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM AN ACTIVITY?

You can unsubscribe yourself from activities until

January 9th, 2016. After January 9th you will have

to send an email to info@erasmusrecruitmentdays.

nl , and include your full name and the activity you

want to unsubscribe from. You will need to cancel

at least 48 hours before the start of the activity.

WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES IF I FAIL TO

SHOW UP FOR AN ACTIVITY?

If you fail to show up for an activity you were

selected for without cancellation, you will be

placed on our blacklist. This entails you will be

excluded from all ERD activities this year and

next year. Furthermore, the company organizing

the activity will be notified of your unannounced

cancellation, which will reflect poorly on you.

Are you invited for an activity? Always go

to the presentation of the company to learn

more about the company before you meet

the recruiters.

HOW DOES THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE

ACTIVITIES WORK?

The selection process is done by the companies

based on CV (and motivation if applicable). To

maximize your chances, make sure your CV is up

to date and your motivation is sincere. For non-

CV selection activities, the selection will be done

randomly, but your chance of being selected will

improve if you have not been selected for any

other activities.
