Art Installations


Erik R Peterson, a 17-year resident of Glen Ellyn, debutted his fine art photography at Glen Ellyn’s Festival of the Arts at Lake Ellyn in 2009 to wide acclaim.

Immediately thereafter Erik’s work has been sought after in many venues throughout the western suburbs, including features in West Suburban Living magazine and in streetscape banners celebrating Glen Ellyn’s unique downtown.

Erik’s photography is on display throughout Glen Ellyn at Barone’s Restaurant, Village of Glen Ellyn Civic Center Boardroom, Ford Finan-cial Wealth, ReMax Glen Ellyn, Cab’s Wine Bar Bistro, and Tap House.

In 2012, Erik debutted the Scenes of the Chicago River collection at the Metropolitan Club in the Willis Tower prior to exhibiting the collection in a pop-up gallery in a downtown Glen Ellyn storefront.

Erik’s Scenes of Glen Ellyn collection of canvas and archival photo prints features images of the Lake Ellyn boathouse, fireworks at Lake Ellyn, and panoramics of community events on Main Street capturing the Holiday Walk and 4th of July parade.

In 2014, Highpoint Planning Partners selected Erik’s photography to christen their expanded corporate office in Downers Grove. His work is also installed in the corporate offices of the CEO and lobby at Richards Wilcox in Aurora. He has installed numerous large scale pieces in residences throughout the Chicago area.

Beyond landscapes, Erik’s many photgraphic subjects include florae, people, and architecture througout the U.S., Mexico and Europe. His most recent journey to France culminated in the Photographique Tour de France, a collection of landscape and architectural images from Paris and the Normandy and Dordogne regions of France.
