Symptom 

The following symptoms may occur when you send express mails.

l A program that is running in the background job hangs in the program SAPLSOB5. In transactionSM50, you see the work process in the status 'Waiting' or 'Waiting for RFC'.

l A termination occurs in the update when you send documents. The runtime errorPOSTING_ILLEGAL_STATEMENT"Statement ... not permitted in current state."

Reason and Prerequisites 

This runtime error may occur, for example, when you use message control with transmission medium 7(SAPoffice) to send mails. The error only occurs after you have implemented version 1 of this notein your system.

Solution 

Use Note Assistant to implement the correction instructions or import the relevant Support Package.

The corrections contain changes in the relevant module, and this avoids the RFC. The process shouldno longer hang at this point.

In addition, the second correction prevents the database commit so that the terminations no longeroccur in the update.
