Advice  provided to students.If you are not on track for your QCE , do not book a limo, do not buy a dress, do not hire a suit, do not promise a partner.

2019 Our QCE + QCIA attainment was 100% ‐ for the second year in a row! Above School & Regional Target.

School Targets

School Targets• Literacy – students pass English• Numeracy – students pass Maths• Pass rates – students pass every subject• Non Submit – all assessment completed• Attendance – 95% ‐ less than 1 lesson a fortnight

• Will also get them a QCE!!!

QCE• To be awarded a QCE students need to gain 20 points credit as well as:

• Literacy – pass their English• Numeracy – pass their Maths• Completed Core – at least 3 courses that you have completed in their entirety eg full Certificate II or 4 semesters of a school subject

• Students MUST pass Unit 3 AND Unit 4 to gain points for either unit

ATAR Eligibility• Why do you need your ATAR eligibility?You are definitely heading to a Tertiary Course at University.The ATAR is not used for any other purpose except tertiary entry.

• Eligible = 5 General Subjects OR 4 General + 1 applied or recognised course

• Diploma = ATAR 82

External Exams• All General subjects (ATAR eligible) have external exams 

• 17 days of exams that start on 26 October• Exams are unseen by teaching staff and marked externally

• Contribute up to 50% of their grade• Cover up to 12 months worth of work• Applied subject internal exams/assessment will also be held at this time

QTAC Timelines• QTAC opens for 2021 at the start of Term 3• Each student will be provided with a free copy of the QTAC guide.

• GO will meet with each student individually to assist in completing QTAC application.

• Submit QTAC Application before September 30.• QTAC offers from October – One week response on offers (Must respond or lose offer)

SCU STAR Program• Direct Entry Program• Based on Principal recommendation.

• Recommendation based on student performance – 3 tiers.

• If do not meet prerequisites students can gain a place in PSP.

Formal – How to get an invite.• In order to be invited to the formal students need to ensure that they 

1. Are on track to receive a QCE/QCIA2. All financial commitments to the school are 

finalised by the end of Term 33. Attendance is at school target ‐ 95%4. All assessment commitments met for all subjects5. Compliance with school code of conduct and dress 

code.
