JUST READY

Welcome to L. Collari racetrack in Cassino, welcome to the most technologically advanced

permanent track of the world. Completed in 2007, it hosts the highest level of services and

technology ever realized. The track, named in honour to the worldwide auto model RC

living legend L. Collari, lies in the centre of Italy.

Young but headed towards fame, we have in few years rewritten the rules and the

standards of this wonderful sport, transforming simple contests in international events and

international events in historical milestones of Auto Model R/C. We have been the first in

the world to broadcast LIVE; our XRACER LIVE is our innovative system that has enabled

users to watch and listen to all was happening during the races; with over 1500 hours

LIVE we have become the symbol of innovation, an example for other tracks.

We are the racetrack with the most organised incoming structure ever realized, a

restaurant and all services and comforts for pilots and staff. Furthermore, we are the only

one in the world with the hotel inside the premises where you can wake-up already in the

track.

We are ready!!!!!! We do not need to promise you anything, we need only to turn on the

switch of the organisation machine to transform the next European Championship in an

RME L.COLLARI TRACK event history

L. Collari racetrack has the record for the highest number of pilots participating in an Italian Championship, with 129 contestants in the first round of the Italian Championship 2009. In 2010 in the 1/5 and 1/8 categories again a new record with the highest attendance of the whole season.

WHY LAMBERTO COLLARI

Since January 1st, 2008 the former RME racetrack has become “LAMBERTO COLLARI

RACETRACK”. Thanks to the collaboration with Lamberto Collari, we have had the honour

and the pleasure to write the name of the living legend of the Auto Model r/c on our

banner.

Since January 1st, 2008 we have entered the legend. Still today we thank Lamberto Collari

for his availability and kindness. For this reason we have to leave a mark and transform

each event in an historical happening.



Cassino City

The MONTECASSINO Monastery

The MONTECASSINO Monastery, was founded by St. Benedict about 529 of the

Christian Era on the remnants of a preexisting Roman fortification of the

municipium Casinum. The heathen cult was still practised on this mountain site

in the temple of Apollo and in a nearby holy grove to which a sacrifice area was

adjoining.

Montecassino became famous for the prodigious life and the Sepulchre of its

Founder. Through the ages, the abbey was looked upon as a place of holiness,

culture and art for which it became renowned on world-wide level.

Around 577, the monastery was destroyed by the Longobards of Zotone, Duke

of Beneventum, but early in the eighth century Pope Gregory II commissioned

the Brescian Petronace to rebuild the monastery. For the Cassinese abbey this

was the beginning of a period of great splendour: the Saxon Monk Villibald, the

Monk Sturmius disciple of S. Boniface, Founder of Fulda and of German

monasticism, Gisulf II Duke of Beneventum, Carlomanno brother of Pippin,

Ratchis king of the Longobards, Anselm future abbot of Nonantola all flocked to

Montecassino. In 787 Charlemagne came to visit the Abbey and granted it vast

privileges. In 883, the Saracens invaded and sacked the Monastery and burnt

it down, causing the death of Bertarius its saint Abbot, Founder of mediaeval

Cassino. The surviving monks first fled to Teano and later to Capua. Monastic

life was only fully resumed towards the middle of the tenth century, thanks to

Abbot Aligerno.

Drivers Rostrum

The spacious pilots console is 12mt long and 6mt wide and provides whatever the pilots need. Its peculiarity is a greed that let the pilots and the mechanics communicate without the need to band over the balustrade. A multimedia station for the referee allows him to follow the car times and to speak through IP telephone, with chronometer or technical tests. Furthermore there is a separate audio system that makes it possible for him to talk to the Box area and to the Driver Stand

The Radio Room can host up to 150 transmitters and is above the Driver Stand in a secure location. During important events the Radio Room is guarded by security personnel.



Paddock

The race track L. Collari has over 200 covered numbered workstations, with light and

power. The box area has 3 sectors: A, B, C. The ground is paved with asphalt and cement,

so trolleys can be used, making the area where pilots and staff spend 80% of the time,

extremely clean and comfortable. The box area is fully covered by WIFI technology

allowing staff and visitors to connect to the Internet freely. (free Internet connection)

To follow the event, there is a fully equipped PRESS ROOM on the ground floor of the Race Director’s Office, with MAC computers, internet stations, photocopy machine, timing monitor.



Accommodation

A unique receptive structure with over 200 seats where pilots, staff, and visitors can live

every event in the most comfortable way. The restaurant PIT STOP with its 300sq mt.

indoor plus a 500sq mt. outdoor area covered by a tent structure, serves rich dishes from

the Italian tradition thanks to its cook and professional staff.



An accommodation with all modern comforts, professional kitchen where Enjoy all the specialties of Italian cuisine, from pizza made baked spaghetti.

Lap Counting and Service

Being in the most advanced racetrack means maximum efficiency and functionality, the

race director’s office is on two storey as in F1.

We have 3 complete time-measuring systems that guarantee maximum reliability and that

have alternative power in case of a temporary blackout.

We have implemented the only existing system in the world for automatic lap-counting in

touch screen, the XRACER FREE, that allows pilots to check and print their laps through a

24in. touch screen. The fully autonomous system is unique and in service only at L. Collari

racetrack in Cassino.



The L. Collari racetrack hosts the biggest alphanumeric display ever installed in a

permanent Auto Model r/c racetrack. It measures 3x3mts and can be seen from a

distance of over 90mts; it was built under Staff RME supervision. The display shows to

pilots, staff and visitors: the order, the pilots’ names, the best lap, the times, and every

information needed during a competition.

We changed the rules of this sport, but what will let us be remembered for is having

started the multimedia revolution of auto model r/c information.

It was 2007 and while the results were on PDF sheets, we were making up the change.

We have created a system that allows everybody to watch and listen to everything

happening during a competition on a computer from home. A great technology with a

server that allows thousands users contemporaneously to watch a race LIVE and receive

times, order and every same information the mechanics see in the pilots stand; at home

on one’s own monitor.

RACE START SYSTEM

From a RMETECH idea, we have developed and built a unique system. In other tracks the

starting order of each round is showed with numbers set by the race Director. We have

put displays with numbers, one for each pilot’s position. The system, according to the first

round, automatically changes the starting numeration. In this way the mechanics always

know what their position is.

SPEED DETECTION SYSTEM

This is the most accurate and advanced system, developed with a PLC system with two

electronic photocells and a high-visibility numerical display. The system automatically and

instantaneously detects the cars’ speed and shows it on the screen. This system is 99%

precise, seen the detection technology it uses.

The racetrack L. Collari is located in the industrial area of Cassino (FR), opposite the FIAT

plant, maybe one of the most important of the world. From the track you can reach

Cassino city centre, malls, Mc Donald’s and every tourist attraction in few minutes. All the

other accommodations selected are very close and within 5 minutes drive.
