fromthemountingfaceofthemotortothefurthestpointoftheendbell,notincludingsolder,tabsorleadwires.Onlyceramicmagnetscanbeused(Cobaltandrareearthmagnetsarenotallowed).Thereisnolimitonthenumberofmagnetsused.Currentissuppliedtothearmaturecommutatorby2brushes.

2. Thecanwillbestampedwiththenameofmanufacturerand'19Spec'.3. Ball-racedbearingsareallowed.4. Thecanwillincorporateaslottolocatetheendbellatadesignatedtiming

advanceof24degreesmaximum. Thecanwillhavetwopairsofmountingholes.Thepairsofmountingholes

canbepositionedbyeitherofthefollowing:-a) Bothpairswithinthespacebetweenthemagnets.Thelinethroughthe

mid-pointbetweeneachpairofmountingholesmustpassthroughthecentreofthecanandisdeterminedasbeingzerodegrees.

13. Tabsonthearmature'scommutatormayonlybe"compressionwelded".Noafter-marketwelding,solderingorsilverbrazingwillbepermitted.

14. Epoxybalancingofarmatureswillnotbepermitted.15. Onlyfullstackarmatureswithnocut-outsareallowed.Nosplit,skewed,tri-

2. 3. Thebatterypackshallhaveleadsextendingfromthecaseforthepositiveandnegativeelectricalconnectionsusingwireofadequatesizetohandledischargeratesacceptabletoracingapplications.Alternatively,thecaseshallhaveinternalconnectionpointsforthesewiresclearlymarkedpositiveandnegativesotheusercanapplytheleadwires.Anytypeofmetalconnectionsthatareincorporatedinthebatterypackmustbesubstantiallybelowthemajorsurfaceoftheplasticcasing,topreventany'shortcircuit'ifplacedonaconductivesurface.

4. The case must have the original suppliers label intact, stating the ratedvoltageandthechemistry(Lipo/LiFe)..TheBrandname/logoshallbeeasilyreadable.

5. AllLiPo/LiFepacksmustbechargedwithaLiPo/LiFe-capablechargerusingthe industrystandardCC/CV(ConstantCurrent/ConstantVoltage)chargeprofile.

4.3 Thespeedcontrollermayhaveadevicetolimitthecurrent/voltagepassedfromthebatteriestothedrivemotor(e.g.timeddelay,currentlimiter,keyboardpro-grams)aswellasapassivedatarecordingdevicebutsettingorprogrammingofthesedevicesmustonlybepossiblewhilstthecarisstationary.

4.4 Noothersignalsthanthesefortheofficiallapcountingtranspondermaybesentfromthecar.

4.5 Anycompetitorfoundincontraventionofthespiritorfactwillbedisqualifiedfromthemeeting.Theraceorganiserhastherighttoinspectanycar,itscomponentsandtransmitteratanytimeduringtheraceevent.
