ABOUT GOW 2014Digital empowerment campaign organized by Telecentre Europe between 24-30 March 2014

This was the 5th annual European Get Online Week (GOW) since 2010

Aimed to raise awareness amongst the young and unemployed on the e-skills needed for the 21st century workplace

CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTSGOW 2014• HP Life programme promoted by GOW partners

HP Life will be piloted by telecentre networks with a focus on entrepreneurship.

• Microsoft certifications offered to young people 3,000 young people received Microsoft donated certifications to improve their employability

• ICT for entrepreneurs and social innovationTrainings, webinars, games and best practices for young entrepreneurs

Informatics Society (HEPIS) • 5000 young people used GetBusy.gr

involved• Croatia launches European coalition for media jobs in digital industry• YouRock employability platform launched in Germany• More than 1,000 Romanians used Skillage to assess their eSkills for jobs
