BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER is a joint fundraising committee composed of Friends of John Boehner (“the Campaign”), the National Republican Congressional Committee (“NRCC”), THE FREEDOM PROJECT (“the PAC”) and the Ohio Republican Party State Central & Executive Committee (“The State Party”) (collectively “the Committees”).
Any contributions to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER permissible under the Federal Election Campaign Act, as amended (“FECA”), 2 U.S.C. §§ 431 et seq., from donors who have not exceeded their applicable Federal contribution limits shall be allocated among the Committees pursuant to FECA and the following method:
a. The Campaign will receive, for deposit in its general account, the first $5,000 of any contribution made to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER by an individual or non-multicandidate federal political committee for the general election. The contribution will be designated first up to a maximum of $2,500 for the primary election, and second, up to a maximum of $2,500 for the general election.;
b. The Campaign will receive, for deposit in its general account, the first $10,000 of any contribution made to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER by a federal multi-candidate political committee for the general election. The contribution will be designated first up to a maximum of $5,000 for the primary election, and second, up to a maximum of $5,000 for the general election
c. The NRCC will receive, for deposit in its general account, up to $30,800 per calendar year of any contribution made by an individual or non-multicandidate federal political committee to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, after the Campaign has taken its allocated share pursuant to Section 1(a) as stated herein;
d. The NRCC will receive, for deposit in its general account, up to $15,000 per calendar year of any contribution made by a federal multi-candidate political committee to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, after the Campaign has taken its allocated share pursuant to Section 1(b) as stated herein;
e. The PAC will receive, for deposit in its general account, up to $5,000 per calendar year of any contribution made by an individual, non-multicandidate federal political committee, or multicandidate federal political committee to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, after the Campaign and the NRCC have taken their respective shares pursuant to Sections 1(a), 1(b), 1(c), or 1(d) as stated herein;
f. The State Party Committee will receive, for deposit in its general account, up to $10,000 per calendar year of any contribution made by an individual or non-multicandidate federal political committee to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, after the Campaign, the NRCC, and the PAC have taken their respective shares pursuant to Sections 1(a), 1(c), and 1(e) as stated herein;
g. The State Party Committee will receive, for deposit in its general account, up to $5,000 per calendar year of any contribution made by a federal multi-candidate political committee to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, after the Campaign, the NRCC, and the PAC have taken their respective share pursuant to Section 1(b), 1(d), and 1(e) as stated herein and
The contributor’s signature below shall serve as written designation of his or her contribution to the particular elections described above.
All contributions otherwise permissible under FECA, but which would cause a contributor to exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit to a specific committee, shall be reallocated to the remaining Committees to the extent permitted by FECA according to this allocation formula. Any contribution that would cause a contributor to exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit, even after re-allocation, or is otherwise impermissible under FECA shall be refunded to the contributor. Any contributor may designate his or her contribution to a specific participating Committee(s), to the extent permissible by FECA. Any contributor may make his or her contribution payable directly to any of the specific participating Committee(s) listed in the Preamble to this Notice. Any such designated contribution that causes the contributor to exceed the contribution limit to the designated Committee shall not be reallocated by BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER absent the prior written permission of the contributor as required by law.
Contributions to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER, or any of the participating committees individually, are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. All funds received in response to this solicitation will be subject to federal contribution limits and prohibitions. Contributions from corporations, labor union, foreign nationals without “green cards,” and federal government contractors are prohibited.
The maximum amount an individual or a non-multicandidate federal political committee may contribute to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER is $50,800. Individuals should review their personal contribution histories to determine how this contribution may affect their biennial aggregate contribution limit for the 2011-2012 election cycle. The maximum amount a multi-candidate political committee may contribute to BOEHNER FOR SPEAKER is $35,000. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of each individual whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle or calendar year, as applicable.
