KILLER – BETH CHESHIRE

Freddy Kruger – Nightmare On Elm Street (Left)

My film differs from other horror films because my killer is female whereas in most horror films the killer is male.

Also, in some films the Killer has a deformity ora psychological problemWhich makes them kill. Whereas my killer, Beth Cheshire, kills people not out of but out of obedience to who the audience thinksis her boss.

VICTIM – DEVON WHITWORTH

In most horror films the victim they use is a bottle blonde with blue eyes and tanned skin. However I decided to use a brunette with blue eyes.

Also most of the victims are being targeted because of breaking the murders heart, of somehow causing some sort of problems for the family, therefore causing their deaths, however I decided to use someone that is perfectly innocent and is mistaken for someone else.

SOUNDTRACK

For my company logo clip I decided to have a cliché horror music clip, where it was low and sharp with a certain edgy feel to it. I decided to use this piece of music because I felt it seemed to set the mood for the music.

For my second clip of music, which will be used for the majority of my film, I decided to use a suspense music with more of a modern feel. I picked the dubstep remix version because it gave the music a modern view, and also with the sharp altering beats it gave me a chance to play about with the video to see what would fit and what wouldn’t to give my video more of an alternative edge.

COSTUME

Usually in horror films the victim is dressed in skimpy slutty outfits, that show off their extremely skinny bodies which is basically screaming at the murder to kill them.

I decided to dress my victim in natural, everyday, clothing such as skinny jeans, a hoodie and coat as well as trainers. I did this because it is the type of clothes most girls wear making the idea of them being the victim in real life more likely to give the film an extra shock factor.

Also for my killer, instead of having a signature outfit that makes them stand out against everyone so you automatically register them as a shifty character, I decided to dress them much like the victim for the same kind of effect, to give the audience the feel that anyone could be a killer out there.
