10.00 Smart Farm One: Sheep Containment Monitoring – Case StudyThis case study will feature a demonstration of products from globally respected Smart Agriculture company Wild Eye - who continue their involvement from DISA19.Wildeye have worked in close consultation with South Mokanger and EID monitoring company AgMesh to develop a sheep containment monitoring system. With a presence throughout USA, New Zealand and Australia Wild Eye are a global leader in remotely monitored sensors.Host: John Gardner (South Mokanger) Location: Cavendish1720ha. Prime lamb operation that runs 12,000 breading composite ewes. John was named a Nuffield Scholar in 2019.

11.30 Smart Farm Two: Heifer Calving Monitoring – Case StudyThis case study will feature Smart Paddock - developers of “Bluebell” a small, lightweight, multi-sensor eartag designed to last the lifetime of the animal. Sensors track heartrate, temperature, location, and movement to search for potential health issues. Health and location can be viewed in the web-app and mobile app, and health alerts are sent straight to the farmer’s phone. The Smart Paddock App is also integrated with the AgriAce fence monitoring system which will also be featured.Farmo Farm Infrastructure Monitoring – Case StudyThis case study will involve viewing of the Farmo IoT based farm monitoring solution developed by local Vasey farmer Nick Seymour. A LoraWAN system, Farmo is developing a simple and cost effective IoT solution for livestock enterprises. Host: James Young (Eulong) Location: Cavendish3000ha. The Young Family shear 14,000 fine wool Merino sheep and run over 300 Poll Hereford cows.

Smart Community Walking Tour of Hamilton CBDExplore the Smart Community solutions that SGSC have implemented around the Hamilton CBD, Russell Bennett (Manager Business Systems) will lead the tour talking about SGSC’s experience and learnings and pushing out smart solutions to the community. Some of the topics covered will include, Public WiFi, Smart Lighting, People Counting, IoT Sensors, Self-Walking Tours and different community engagement approaches using technology.
