‘I stopped the amazing Food Machine,’ said

Flint to his friends.

‘Are you sure?’ asked Sam.

‘It made a lot of food!’ said Manny.

Suddenly the friends heard a helicopter. It was

‘Wow!’ said Flint. ‘My hero!’

‘Are you Flint Lockwood, the inventor?’ asked

‘That’s me!’ said Flint.

‘Come and work with me in San Franjose!’ said

‘I don’t know …’ said Flint. ‘What are we going

to do with all the food?’

‘My Thinkquanauts can stay here and help,’

said Chester V.

‘Can my friends come too?’ asked Flint.

‘Of course!’ said Chester V.

CHAPTER TWO ‘Let’s find the food machine!’

Flint and his friends went back to Swallow Falls.

There were Food Animals everywhere.

‘Oh no!’ said Flint. ‘My Food Machine made all

these!’

‘Look at that big strawberry!’ said Sam.

‘Run!’ shouted Flint.

‘It’s not dangerous,’ said Sam.

‘Are you sure?’ said Flint.

‘Yes!’ said Sam. ‘I’m going to give it a name.
