Evaluate: We were invited to participate in a trial with two other vendors to manage content for five of Carlson Hotels Worldwide property websites for a period of three months. Our team of professional writers and editors conducted extensive keyword research for each hotel to gather the best keywords for optimization. The team also performed competitor analysis and local area research to better position the hotel online in the context of its surrounding destination.

Engage: Our skilled writers and editors rewrote and updated every page on the websites. We utilized optimized header tags to alert search engine spiders of the most important information to index. We improved site architecture by incorporating more white space, bolding text and grouping information to create a more readable site. Finally, we added more robust information about local businesses, hotel amenities, services and rooms to more effectively sell the hotel to website browsers.

Empower: The ultimate goal is to create content that converts these potential prospects into real profits and we helped Carlson achieve this with the following results:

•Total Monthly Visits increased 62% for the same 5 properties versus previous year

•Revenue was up an average of 76% over controlled group of hotels The three month trial led to a two-year agreement to provide content management, SEO and annual rewrites for 665 of Carlson Hotels’ websites with the following results:

•Visitors increased over 10%•Revenue increased over 10%

•Reservations increased over 9%•National Search Referrals increased over 230%
