POPULATION GROWTH
The population will continue to grow till the equilibrium is achieved.
i.e. number of births=number of deaths.
Population is growing by 90 million/year.
Of which 93% in developing countries.
REASONS FOR GROWTHEvery second 4-5 children are born and
2 people die.Lack of value education is the major
cause for population .
1.RATE OF BIRTH(FERTILITY)Number of babies produced per 1000
individual is defined as the rate of birth.
2. MORTALITYDeath rates per thousand individual is
defined as mortality.
3. MIGRATIONMovement of an individual into or out
of place /country.
POPULATION EXPLOSION
An enormous growth of human beings is called as population explosion.
CAUSES1.High fertility rate due to poor family planning
2.Reduced infant mortality rate3.Social insecurity and importance of male child
4.Poverty and backwardness5.Predominating religious or superstitious nature.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
