The juices are made with local or organic ingredients and poured
into cute little bottles to turn them into simple, fast and healthy
solutions for everyone that cares about their health.
Great things start small The challenge for most of us is that when we live our lives, we
interact with so many “big” things, we forget how they originally
started. It’s difficult to understand how a product or brand has
evolved, but it’s so important; we all have big dreams, and we
want to get there fast as we can!
Most of us know about successful garage stories. Companies that
literally started from their garages; Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Am-
azon, Google and even Walt Disney.
Look at the example on the right. You’re
down $150,000, and have a business
that can create more than 1,000 bottles
a day and have a front-store location
on a busy street in your city with all the
bells and whistles. Your juicing business
is born!
The truth is, the majority of juicing
businesses start out small. I’ve been
witnessing this for years now. The most
successful juicing businesses all have
one thing in common.
They started with a small amount of
money, but with a BIG passion for juice.
So, if you are choosing between opening
a fresh yogurt place and a juice business,
you’re probably not in the right market.
This business is built around a passion
for helping people live healthier lives!

HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU NEED? | GREAT THINGS START SMALL
How to create your own small success? There’s one thing these juicing businesses have in common. They
started with the bare minimum and found a way to grow. They
learned, adjusted and perfected their plans over time.
But what is the bare minimum to start? There isn’t a one-fit solu-
tion. But there are some general guidelines.
Because starting a juicing business doesn’t require a lot of
investments. It’s a simple business. You need a kitchen to make
your juices, a juicer and a few happy and healty customers.
By starting out your juicing business with delivering juic-
es you’re able to test your juices and recipes, learn from your
customers, and improve your juices! You’ll also learn a lot about
your business and how to communicate to your customers.
On the next page you’ll find the 10 steps of a small juice delivery business that can be started from home.
In the world of juicing, people start from their home kitchen. They
buy produce at Whole Foods and poor the juices into empty
coconut water bottles, then sell them to friends and family
members or fellow yoga students. Or, at least, that’s Annie and
Eric’s story. They’re the owners of Suja Juice…the company that is
now doing over 42 million in sales a year.
Of course, the scale of this type of success is the exception, not the
rule. But how many small juicing businesses have found success?
Dozens!
“While it may seem small, the ripple effect of small things is extraordinary.”

HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU NEED? | SMALL DELIVERY
Home kitchenIn most countries, you’re legally re-quired to have a commercial license.
Adding a commercial kitchen to a home means that you ensure that the equipment and layout follow the regulations of your state or country.
You can also save money by looking into an incubator or shared kitchen that you can rent by the hour. These kitchens are used by startups that don’t need to own the space full time.
AB CHome juicer
The juicer, you probably already own. These are made for home use, but are great to create small amounts of juice to start out with. Prices range from $300 all the way up to $2500 for a Norwalk Hydraulic Press.
Delivery By delivering your juices you are selling directly to your customer. You can sell your juices online or locally in your community.
Markets & EventsAnything from the local farmers’ market to events.
Your next move... Once you build a customer base and have created around $10,000 in profit, it’s easy to justify bigger investments. See what you can do now.

Rent or share a commercial kitchenYou can rent a commercial kitchen or, if you want to save money, you can look into an incubator or shared kitchens that you can rent by the hour. These kitchens are used by startups that don’t need to own the space full time.
A B CSmall commercial juicer These are juicers that are built from commercial material. The quality of juice is real, “cold-pressed” juice. We consider small commercial juicers anywhere up to a $5,000 investment. Examples are the $2,000 Kuvings CS 600 and the $2,300 PURE! Juicer.
Largecommercial juicerThis would be a top of the line juicer that is built to last, capable of producing up to a thousand bottles a day. The investment ranges from $10,000 and up, from the Goodnature Countertop CT7 to a Good-nature X-1. Hydraulic Press.
Delivery By delivering your juices you are selling directly to your customer. You can sell your juices online or locally in your community.
Markets & EventsAnything from the local farmers’ market to events.
Small retailThink of supermarkets, but also smaller stores such as bakeries, coffee shops, yoga studios, gyms and any other places where people are interested in a nutritious, quick and easy solution.

HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU NEED? | CONCLUSION
It doesn’t matter where you start. It’s about making progress and consistently growing from one stage of the business to the next. If you can’t handle production on your small commercial juicer anymore, buy a second one. Outgrowing that model? Upgrade yourself to a larger commercial juicer. And with every step that you grow, so will you customers.
THANK YOU for being so ambitious, kind, and especially brave by going on this juicing journey. But, more importantly, I wanted to thank you for sharing your dreams.
