4 5 2 3 1 7 8 6 9 Storyboard Student Life in 30 years - One day for the freshmen on Campus Deutz 1 Moving in can be pretty tiring. But I’m happy to have found a nice shared flat. Funnily enough, one of my flatmates is a maths tutor for Civil Engineering. 2 Ni ce atmosphere here in the library – lots of light and wood – I like it. But with all these shelves and categories, I’ m still not quite sure how to find my books here. 3 Wo w, tons of information on the first day – fill out the thoska application, take a city tour, learn how to use the library. But I’m taking it in stride – after all, I’ve already done a semester of Maths in Frankfurt. 4 The first time in the carteen – food tastes pretty good. I couldn’t cook a meal any faster or cheaper at h ome – there’s just enough time to grab a coffee before the next lecture. 5 Amazing what the students are telling us! Especially the international projects – looks like I’ve ended up at a good university. 6 First lecture in mechanics – After 5 minutes, I don’t understand a word. I hope it doesn’t stay this way. But I already like the professor. 7 On the town tour, you really get to see ALL of cologne. We’re a super gang and already know where the student clubs are! 8 The tutors are a bit chaotic, but also really funny – bowling as the »entertainment programme« for the freshmen. Definitely a good way of getting to know your fellow students. 9 I me t these two on my earlier visits to Weimar – the typical tourist photo-op. Even back then, I re ally liked the town. 10 Ma n, late again! Just got a call from my tutor Cornelius to ask where I am. We ll, it’s better to be late for a pub tour than my first lecture. First I’ll have a beer. 10
