1 Executive Assistant Do you want to help empower people to have a full range of choices available to them at the end of life? Do you want to work closely with the Chief Executive driving forward one of the most high- profile campaigns in the UK? If yes, we want you to join the teams at Compassion in Dying and Dignity in Dying. We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong administrative skills who would enjoy contributing to a high-profile campaign and rapidly-growing charity. The role would be ideal for someone seeking to become more actively involved in the not-for-profit sector, while gaining a greater understanding of how organisations work at board and staff levels. You will have a unique opportunity to gain a holistic overview of leading a company and a charity; a comprehensive introduction to human resources; and a close-up of the working life of a Chief Executive with insight into managing and motivating teams, fundraising, and leading one of the highest profile campaigns in the UK today. The role works across both Dignity in Dying and Compassion in Dying. Both organisations share a desire to see individual choice at the heart of end-of-life decision-making. However, whereas Dignity in Dying seeks to extend patient choice at the end of life, Compassion in Dying works to raise awareness, and facilitate the uptake of existing legal rights. The organisations have separate boards but share a Chief Executive, some staff and premises. Role Title: Executive Assistant Salary: £25,081 - £30,307 The salary offered is based on skills, knowledge & experience. Reports To: Chief Executive Hours: Full time (35 hours per week) Contract: Permanent (subject to 6 month probationary period) Direct Reports: None Main Place of Work: Oxford Street, W1D 2JT The building has a small lift which is only accessible from 1st floor landing.
