Academics

Master of Management Studies (MMS)

The Master of Management Studies is a Four Semester Masters Degree Program of the Univer-

sity of Mumbai. Admission to this course is based on the scores of the Common Entrance Test

conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. In the First

year of MMS comprising of First and Second Semesters, the students are educated in all sub-

jects. The students undergo learning in different areas of management practices like Finance,

Human Resources, Organization Marketing, Production and associated disciplines like Econom-

ic, Statistics, Law etc.

In the Second Year of MMS, the students select a specialization based on their interest and apti-

tude. The specializations offered at VIVA IMR are:

Through its innovative pedagogy, VIVA IMR management and faculty focuses on integrating

classroom learning with practical experience on communication, presentation skills and collabo-

ration skills. The MMS program at VIVA IMR aims at training students to become decision

makers, inculcating broad strategic vision based outlook and development of their ability to as-

sume higher corporate responsibility.

Vicharmanthan (Inter -collegiate Case study competition for PG and UG): Vichar Manthan, An In-tercollegiate case study Competition in major domains like Marketing, Finance and HR. was orga-nized on 10 February, 2018. HR Conclave 2018 on the theme “Culture, Creativity and Performance” was held on 13th

October, 2018, in association with University of Mumbai

Finance Conclave on the theme "Impact of latest Financial Developments on the Economy &

Career Opportunities" was organized in association with University of Mumbai on January 12,

nance Ltd (Moderator), Mr. Pavan Gupta - CEO - Muthoot Housing Finance Co. Ltd., Mr. Dilip

CSR Drives

Every year along with local industrial visit Institute organizes visits to NSE, BSE, SEBI, RBI

along with one long industrial visit.

Students visited SEBI and BSE on 15th Oct 2018, BSE on 16th Oct 2018 respectively.

Industrial visit was arranged at Gujrat-Ahmadabad in year 2018-19 with special focus on IIM

visit from 6th Feb to 10th Feb 2019.
