Dear Care Provider,

Since 1959 Atkinson’s Pharmacy has been providing quality pharmaceutical services by

listening to the needs of our health care partners and their residents / patients. Over the

past five decades we have remained committed to providing the best service with approved

medication compliance and reliable distribution avenues.

Over the years, Long Term Pharmacy practices have advanced and we have made the

necessary investments to improve our efficiency and remain compliant with new

government mandates. Our utilization of advanced automated robotics, dispensing systems,

electronic medical records (EMARS) and E-prescribing have allowed Atkinson’s to remain

very efficient and reliable. Our growing staff of clinical pharmacists has allowed us to

expand our services and elevate the level of our customer care.

In addition to your resident’s medication needs, we also offer a complete catalog of

medical supplies which we remain very competitive to all larger suppliers. Atkinson’s

carries a full line of Durable Medical Equipment for purchase or rent to help provide

complete comprehensive care. Lastly our complete compounding pharmacy of both sterile

and Non-sterile products.

With our CARE 360 Campaign we have instituted a direct line of communication with

both the Administrator as well as the Director of Nursing. This allows us to remain fervent

in our efforts to bring the best possible services to the residents of your community.

We are confident in our ability to deliver the highest quality of care within a manageable

cost factor and welcome any additional suggestions you may be able to offer that would

assure an even greater result for your residents.

We would welcome the opportunity to share more about Atkinson’s Pharmacy and would

also appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. Please contact me by any of the

attached methods below. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

At your service,

Operating Executive Team Structure – Our competitive advantages would be that we are a local company. Atkinson’s is not a

franchise or a part of a large chain of corporately supervised pharmacies. We provide

specific clinical, operational and financial services from our offices in Orange Park, Florida.

This structure provides advantages. Our “billing people” interact with our “filling people”.

This provides better results when dealing with formulary issues, individual preferences and

cost control.

We also have our medical records staff interacting with pharmacists constantly to make

sure that your medical records are complying with your individual desires. Our staff and

owners all live in the community and have a vested interest in maintaining strong

relationships with your staff, residents and their families.

Atkinson’s is a Chapter “S” corporation and since 1993 has been owned and operated by

the second generation of a local family. Atkinson’s currently employs forty fulltime

employees.

Customer Service Strategy.

Atkinson’s strives to provide excellent customer service by working with your staff to

determine your needs and expectations.

The next step is to develop “Standardized Operating Procedures” specific to your

organization which are communicated to all our departments.

Through this process we develop a consistent, reliable model that we use to guide our

services for your facilities.

Things change so as your staff or ours discover better ways of serving you, our model is

modified to continually enhance and strengthen our relationship.

If a service failure should occur, your staff will have direct access to the clinical

director and operations director of our company to immediately address any

situation.

I.T. Integration and System Capabilities –

Atkinson’s Pharmacy embraces technology and is committed to incorporating

hardware and software that will help us achieve our goals of improved patient

outcomes, improved quality & safety, improved productivity and improved

communication.

Today, we are riding the newest wave of technology as facilities evolve into

electronic medical records and paperless systems. Many software companies are

developing their own way of handling these issues and we remain as flexible as

possible when dealing with each company.

We have gladly interfaced our pharmacy system with multiple EMAR software

systems. This provides a real time bi-directional interface to facilitate order entry

and fulfillment. Interfacing two totally different systems presents some challenges

but we are committed to work with each software provider to continually improve

the reliability of their software.
