AGEM addresses such voids which represent the gap between whatis taught in schools and what is required in the workplace through de-veloping three vital real-world skills in secondary school students in thedeveloping world.

• Inference: Students learn to apply what they have learned to newcircumstances

• Decision making: Students develop decision making ability evenwhen data is uncertain and decision making is complex. This isexpected of every competent adult but is rarely taught.

• Participative decision making: Students learn how to work togetherin teams to evolve a decision through understanding each otherspoint of view. This is a necessary requirement in the workplace.

AGEM’s carefully structured content containing embedded questions, isprojected on the classroom wall. Each student answers these questionsusing a personal wireless device. Immediately a graphic analysis of theresponse of all students is displayed. No student is identified and all re-sults are stored. These create an expanding database which is analyzedto guide students, teachers, the school and AGEM for improving learn-ing performance. More than a hundred students can respond in parallelusing our personal feedback devices which need a battery change oncea year.

The outcomes include engaged students, happier teachers, scientificmeasurement and reporting. No textbooks are required and traditionalhomework is replaced with projects where students work with real lifedata.
