UNITI expo at a glance In May 2018, UNITI expo welcomed in its second edition a total of 17,000 attendees from over 120 countries and 467 top-class exhibitors from 37 countries. The entire programme, the compact three-day format and the two-year cycle of the UNITI expo is precisely tailored to the needs of its target audience.

UNITI expo 2021 addresses every facet of the retail petroleum and car wash sector on 40,000 m2 of exhibition space. To facilitate an overview of the comprehensive range of prod-ucts on offer, the exhibition area is divided into four themed areas: technology, payment & logistics, Car wash & car care , oil companies & fuel retailers and shop & convenience.

In addition to the actual exhibition UNITI expo 2021 also offers a well-rounded series of sem-inars free of charge. Integrated directly within the exhibition halls, the themed forums with product presentations and seminars are with-in easy reach. The programme will be available

on the UNITI expo website in the run up to the trade fair.

On the first evening of the trade fair, a net-working party will be held for exhibitors, their teams and their guests.

If you are not yet registered as an exhibitor, you should familiarise yourself with the exhibi-tion conditions and make a decision to regis-ter as soon as possible as spaces are limited and registration forms will be processed on a first come, first served basis. As an exhibitor, you have access to two portals:

The UNITI expo exhibitor portal enables you to create your entry for the exhibitor directory, upload your press releases, generate trade visitor ticket codes for your guests and much, much more.

Use the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal to book all the services offered by Landesmesse Stuttgart and its service partners. This portal provides, for example, services in relation to stand construction, stand connections, stand cleaning and catering.

UNITI expo is an out-and-out trade fair. As a con-sequence, it provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and participate in project discussions at the highest level. Trade visitors can register online for UNITI expo 2021 free of charge from October 2019 onwards and print out their exhibitor badges prior to the start of the trade fair. Exhibitors can in-vite as many business partners, customers and potential customers as they wish free of charge, the only prerequisite being they must be trade visitors.

Stand registration forms will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Registration of stands and co-exhibitors after the official registration deadline may result in restrictions to specific UNITI expo services.

2.2. Services provided by Landesmesse Stuttgart

Please place all orders for electricity, water, stand cleaning, internet, ceiling suspensions, parking tickets, insurance, advertis-ing services of the Landesmesse Stuttgart etc. as soon as possi-ble via the Stuttgart Messe Service Portal. The deadlines for order-ing all services of Landesmesse Stuttgart and its service partners can also be found in the Stuttgart Messe Service Portal. 2.3. Stand construction permit

Stand construction permits are awarded by Landesmesse Stutt-gart. For information on permit requirements, see page 23: 4.22. Stand construction permit.

2.4. Exhibitor directory

Your entry in the exhibitor directory can be created and updat-ed online via the exhibitor portal up until the specified deadline. Amendments are no longer possible after the editorial deadline. (See page 33: 8.1. Entry into the print and online versions of the exhibitor directory)

2.5. UNITI expo networking party

You can purchase tickets for the networking party via the UNITI expo exhibitor portal. Belated registration for the networking party is subject to individual enquiry. (See page 37: 9. Ticketing) The tickets can be picked up at the exhibitor counter in the Entrance East.

2.6. Press materials

All press releases will be combined in one UNITI expo press kit, which will be made available to editors and members of the press.

Should you be a UNITI expo cooperation partner or have booked the premium package or your individual press kit, you can addi-tionally display your own press kit in the UNITI expo press room. More information about the press kit and all individual services can be found on page 34: 8.2. Advertising packages and individ-ual services.

To display the press kits on time, please send up to 50 press kits in January 2021 to the address on the right or bring them to the press room in hall 1 on Monday, February 8, 2021 by latest 4 pm. Please note that we can only display booked press kits.

Orders of services such as electricity, water, Wi-Fi, stand con-struction, etc. of Landesmesse Stuttgart and its service partners are available online via the Stuttgart Messe Service Portal. Infor-mation on the services and prices are available from May 2020 on. In order to book services, you need your own login data, which allows you to place the orders. You will receive them by the end of May 2020 or at the latest 4 weeks after your registration. Invoicing for the services used will be carried out directly by the Landesmesse Stuttgart.

Please observe the aforementioned order deadlines. Late orders could incur considerable extra costs.

3.1. Co-exhibitors

As an exhibitor, you are required to register your co-exhibitors. A fee of € 490,00 plus VAT is charged per co-exhibitor. This fee includes a basic entry in the exhibitor directory.

3.2. GEMA / music playback

In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Copyright Act (copyright law), the permission of GEMA is required for any form of music playback. Undeclared playback of GEMA-protected music may result in claims for damages from GEMA.

Conceivably, GEMA inspectors may visit the trade fair and take action against exhibitors using unauthorised music playback at their stands.

3.3. Hall lighting

General lighting in the halls is at least 300 lux. We recommend you use additional lamps to create the ideal lighting conditions for your stand. For stand lighting partner companies, see page 41: 10.5. Exhibition stand construction companies and 10.6. Event technology.

3.4. Liability and exhibition insurance

Exhibitors are strongly advised to take out a liability insurance policy that covers liability claims from third parties.

Exhibitors are also recommended to take out an exhibition policy that insures their stands and exhibits for the official duration of the trade fair and also during set-up and dismantling (including transportation of exhibits).

Both insurance policies can be booked directly via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal.

3.5. Noise levels

For the benefit of all exhibitors and visitors, the noise levels generated by demonstrations, music, shows and audiovisual presentations must be limited in such a way they do not disturb others and normal volume conversations can be held at neigh-bouring stands (about 75 dBA at 3 m distance from the stand). In case of non-compliance, the organiser is entitled to prohibit the activity and, if necessary, close the stand.

3.6. Photography / video

The production of commercial visual recordings of any kind, in particular photography and filming / videotaping, is prohibited throughout the exhibition area. Only press, photographers and film crews accredited by UNITI-Kraftstoff GmbH are authorised to produce such material.

Filming and photographing of exhibitors is permitted within the confines of their own stands and exhibits.

3.7. Plagiarism / industrial property rights

As an exhibitor, you are responsible for ensuring that your exhib-its comply with industrial property rights. The organiser reserves the right to exclude the exhibitor from the fair in the event of a proven property right infringement.

3.8. Receptacles for rubbish, recyclable materials and non-recyclable waste

Stand receptacles for recyclable materials and non-recyclable waste must have closed lids and must be made of non-com-bustible materials. Exhibitors are responsible for disposing any rubbish or non-recyclable waste that is created during set-up and dismant ling. Suitable receptacles can be ordered via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal.

3.9. Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited on the exhibition grounds. It is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.

3.10. Stand catering

Catering services at Landesmesse Stuttgart are provided by Aramark.

You can hire a caterer of your choice to carry out catering on your own stand. (See also page 41: 10.7. Catering)

3.11. Stand cleaning

A range of different stand cleaning services can be booked prior to and during the course of the trade fair.

3.12. Stand parties

If you wish to host a party at your stand outside of the trade fair opening hours, this needs to be registered and is subject to a fee. Please note that on February 9 and February 11, 2021 no parties are allowed.

3.13. Stand security

Stand security can be booked for the entire duration of the trade fair, as well as during set-up and dismantling through the Landesmesse Stuttgart.

3.14. Trade fair hostesses

If you need additional staff during the fair, you can hire trade fair hostesses via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal.

3.15. WiFi inside halls

UNITI expo offers its visitors and exhibitors free open WiFi access inside the halls for checking e-mails and other activities that do not require a large amount of data. The network UNITI expo visitor comes with a 5 GHz connection and offers every user 100 MB per day at their free disposal.

4. Stand construction (in alphabetic order)

The following section is a summary of key information and issues pertaining to the construction of your stand. In addition, we ask you to comply with all provisions in the UNITI Kraftstoff GmbH exhibition terms and conditions and the Technical guidelines of Landesmesse Stuttgart.

If you do not have your own stand construction, you will find various stand construction packages and equipment, as well as individual solutions on page 25: 5. Stand packages.

Please place orders for services provided by Landesmesse Stuttgart and its service partners online via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal. You will receive the commensurate login data, that enables you to order services. Invoices are issued directly by Landesmesse Stuttgart.

4.1. Barrier-free construction

Please ensure that there is barrier-free access to your stand. Your stands and facilities should be accessible and usable by visitors with limited mobility without the need for assistance.

4.2. Balloons

Inside the premises of Landesmesse Stuttgart you are only allowed to fill balloons with air or safety gas. They must all be approved by the Landesmesse Stuttgart. A safe fixing for the stand area is required.

The distribution of advertising balloons to customers is not permitted as they could fly to the ceiling due to the air inside.

4.3. Beverage dispensing systems

The Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and General Food Law Regulation must be observed with respect to the installation and operation of beverage dispensing systems on the stand. A separate permit is required to serve alcohol.

4.4. Boundaries facing the aisle

So as not to compromise the appeal of adjacent stands, no more than 50 % of the open side of a stand is permitted to be 'closed off' by walls.

Walls that are at least 1 m from the stand boundary, have a height not exceeding 1.2 m or are transparent are exempt from this rule.

4.5. Boundaries to neighbouring stands

Your stand must have fixed partition walls. Roll-ups and poster displays may not be used as boundaries.

4.6. Ceiling suspensions

Ceiling suspensions are possible in all the halls except under the gallery in Hall 1. The maximum load is 100 kg per suspension point. Suspension points may only be obtained from and modified by service partners of Landesmesse Stuttgart.

Due to the special roof construction spanning the halls and the movements that are possible as a result, please note that the distance between objects suspended from the ceiling and those standing on the floor must at least be 50 cm.

4.7. Compressed air

Compressed air connections may only be installed by Landes-messe Stuttgart or its service partners.

Due to reasons of operational safety is the use of own com-pressors not allowed (as well as the use of small- and auxiliary compressors).

Exceptions as subject to approval have to be registered at the responsible service partner of the Landesmesse Stuttgart 6 weeks before the fair begins.

If the compressors are firmly installed in the exhibit, you have to send an information to [email protected] . A registration through the form is not necessary.

4.8. Construction heights and distance to neighbouring stands

The construction height at UNITI expo is to be no higher than 6.0 m. The tops of any ceiling suspensions are to be no higher than 8.90 m.

Stands may only be single-storey. For category XL booth sizes in hall 1 two-storied constructions are possible.

Precise height limits relating to your stand area are provided in the detailed hall map.

Due to the special roof construction spanning the halls and the movements that are possible as a result, please note that the distance between objects suspended from the ceiling and those standing on the floor must be at least 50 cm.

See also point page 23: 4.22. Stand construction permit.

The height of partitions between neighbouring stands must be at least 2.50 m. Providing that the side of the partition facing a neighbouring stand above 2.50 m in height is smooth, neutral (white or light grey) and clean, a height of up to 3.50 m is permitted without requiring a permit.

In the case of non-neutral walls over 2.50 m or any walls exceeding 3.50 m (in height), a zone of 1.0 m must be maintained around affected stands. Alternatively, written permission must be obtained from neighbouring stands.

If your stand exceeds 3.50 m in height, you must apply for a stand construction permit (see page 23: 4.22. Stand construction permit) from Landesmesse Stuttgart.

4.9. Electrical installations

Electrical connections may only be installed by Landesmesse Stuttgart or its service partners.

A main connection is required for each stand. The connections are equipped with approved safety fuses and electric meters. It must be possible to switch off the entire stand installation via one main switch.

Electricity is supplied via the utility channels indicated in the hall maps (see page 24: 4.24. Utility channels inside halls).

4.10. Floor loading

Permissible loads for individual hall zones must not be exceeded.

4.13. Internet / WiFi / communication installations

UNITI expo provides free, open WiFi for its visitors and exhibitors in all halls.

However, if you need a stable high-speed internet connection to present your exhibits or carry out administrative tasks, we strongly recommend to you order the installation of private internet access.

4.14. Noise generated by machinery

If noise generated by machinery or other appliances exceeds 75 dBA (measured at 3 m distance from the stand), this must be remedied by means of a soundproof booth. (See page 11: 3.5. Noise levels) In general, the following rule applies: normal volume conversations can be held at neighbouring stands.

4.15. Open-air spaces

Permissible construction and operating heights in open-air spaces are determined exclusively on a case-by-case basis. The terms and conditions of Landesmesse Stuttgart apply.

4.16. Pyrotechnics

Pyrotechnic demonstrations require approval and must be coordinated with the Landesmesse Stuttgart.

4.17. Set-up and dismantling times

Please note the regular set-up and dismantling times shown in the following table (on the back).

If extended set-up and dismantling times are required, they can be booked in the periods displayed subject to a daily charge via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal.

Hall aisles must be cleared by no later than 18:00 on the last set-up day. Stands that are not occupied at 18:00 on the last set-up day will be closed subject to a charge.

On the last day of the trade fair, stands leased from Landesmesse Stuttgart and branded modular stand packages from von Hagen GmbH must be completely dismantled and cleared away by 21:00.

4.18. Set-up and dismantling: restrictions on the entry

According to the currently valid restrictions of the Landesmesse Stuttgart, the entry to the exhibition grounds during the set-up and dismantling times is only possible with a setting-up and dismantling pass. You can download as many setting-up and dismantling passes as you need in advance in the download area of the UNITI expo exhibitor portal free of charge.

If you do not have a setting-up and dismantling pass, you have to prove your identity with a suitable official document (passport, ID). Otherwise the entry to the ground is prohibited.

4.19. Set-up assistance

If you or your stand builder require assistance during stand set-up or dismantling, set-up staff can be booked via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal.

4.20. Stand boundaries

Exhibits can be displayed anywhere inside of the stand boundaries. Control panels, operators or similar must remain within the stand boundaries at all times.

4.21. Stand construction and decoration materials, glass

All stand construction and decoration materials must be at least flame retardant and comply with building materials class B1.

Only suitable safety glass may be used for glass elements.

Please observe the relevant sections of the Technical guidelines of Landesmesse Stuttgart.

4.22. Stand construction permit

Check whether your stand requires a stand construction permit based on the listed criteria. If so, please duly submit the relevant documents via the Stuttgart Messe Service-Portal by December 11, 2020.

UNITI-Kraftstoff GmbH will bear the costs of your stand construction permit.

4.23. Stand roofing

To avoid impairing protection afforded by the sprinkler system, the respectively current fire protection provisions on stand roofing stipulated in the Technical guidelines of Landesmesse Stuttgart are to be observed.

4.24. Utility channels inside halls

Hall maps with utility channels for electricity, water, waste water, compressed air and communication channels can be found on the UNITI expo website beforehand. You will also receive them with your stand confirmation by e-mail.

Vehicles with combustion engines may only be exhibited in the hall if the fuel tank is virtually empty (fuel light is on) and locked.

5. Stand packages5.1. Modular branded stand packages from von Hagen GmbH

These high-quality and branded modular stand packages were specially designed for UNITI expo and provide the framework for the optimised and cost-efficient presentation of your products and company. Thanks to their customisable printed walls, stands can be adapted to your brand and distinctive look.

The “turnkey” stand concept means that you don't have to worry about setting up, dismantling or furnishing your stand. All you have to do is set up the products/exhibits delivered directly to the stand, lay out the advertising materials and you're ready to go.

A distinctive aspect of the branded modular stand package is that despite the modest cost, you maintain a high degree of flexibility: additional furnishings and facilities can be booked and even cus-tomised adjustments and extensions can be planned directly with the stand builder.

The illustrated examples can be easily adapted for corner, linear and island stands from 6 sqm to 120 sqm stands.

Stand and key handover will take place at your stand on Monday, February 08, 2021 from 9:00. The exact handover time can be agreed either in advance or directly on site with your con-tact from von Hagen GmbH. An earlier handover can be arranged upon request.

6.1. Clearance height

The clearance height of the gates is approx. 4.4 m.

6.2. Deposit scheme for entry during set-up and dismantling periods

Entry to the UNITI expo halls is via Gate 2 and exit is via Gate 1 during the set-up and dismantling periods. Prior to entry, a deposit of € 100 must be paid at the 'check-in' point. The deposit will be reimbursed at Gate 1 after exiting within the prescribed loading period.

6.3. Truck parking

There are truck parking places outside the exhibition grounds available for exhibitors and stand builders. For further information, please contact the guard or security personnel on site.

6.4. Refrigerated containers and refrigerated trucks in loading docks

For exhibitors, parking spaces are available in the loading yards of the halls. For further information as well as for pre-reservations, please contact Ms. Carolin Ingelfinger by e-mail.

6.5. Transportation of exhibits

Landesmesse Stuttgart recommends its official forwarder, Schenker Deutschland AG, DB SCHENKERfairs, for the transpor-tation of exhibits to and from UNITI expo. See page 40: 10.4.3. Forwarding, lifting platforms, fork lift trucks

All exhibits should be send to the forwarder carriage paid and free of any charges, and include the hall and stand number to ensure the transportation process runs smoothly.

Private vehicles are not permitted inside the halls.

Landesmesse Stuttgart is located directly near the “Flughafen /Messe” exit on the A8. Access to parking spaces will be controlled by a dynamic traffic and parking guidance system for the duration of the trade fair.

The exhibition grounds are located approx. 13 km from the centre of Stuttgart.

8.3. Publisher of the exhibitor directory and a word of caution regarding fraudulent publishers

com-a-tec GmbH is the only official publisher of the UNITI expo exhibitor directory. Entries are published on the UNITI expo website only. As such, please exercise extreme caution if you, as an exhibitor, receive offers, requests for payment, invoices or similar forms from other publishers (e. g. EXPO GUIDE S.A.).

8.4. Distribution of promotional materials on the exhibition grounds

The distribution of printed materials and use of promotional materials is only permitted on the exhibitor's own stand. Excep-tions must be approved by the organiser.

Advertising and promotional activities outside the stand are only permitted through booking an activity offered at the exhibition grounds. This specifically includes the distribution of brochures.

8.5. Sample distribution / direct sales

In keeping with the spirit of this exhibition, the free distribution of goods and samples is permitted at exhibitor stands.

However, the direct sale of goods is not permitted.

9. Ticketing9.1. Badges for exhibitors and stand personnel

You can register your stand personnel and yourself through the UNITI expo exhibitor portal for exhibitor badges. These badges will be your ticket and name tag on site.

9.2. Tickets for trade visitors

Visitors can register to the UNITI expo Visitor Portal free of charge to qualify as a trade visitor, and print out their visitor badge in advance of the fair. The badge will be valid throughout all three days of the trade fair (February 9 – February 11, 2021).

Unregistered visitors must register at the registration counter at the Entrance East.

9.3. Guest tickets for your customers

As an exhibitor, you can invite as many business partners, cus-tomers or potential customers to the event as you wish, free of charge. The only prerequisite is that they are trade visitors.

You can generate codes for complimentary tickets by visiting the UNITI expo exhibitor portal. Using these codes, your guests will be able to register directly online in advance and print their visitor badge prior to the trade fair. Moreover, the UNITI expo exhibitor portal will enable you to see at any time who has already used your codes to register.

9.4. Tickets for the UNITI expo networking party

A networking party with varied street food offerings and enter-tainment will take place on the first evening of UNITI expo. Dependent on the size of your stand, a specific number of tickets for the networking party is already included within your stand registration package.

As an exhibitor, you may purchase online as many tickets as you wish for your team and guests for the price of € 50 plus VAT via the UNITI expo exhibitor portal. The tickets can be picked up at the exhibitor counter in the Entrance East on February 8, 2021.
