Eminem

The colour schemes of this album and posters are negative with little brightness to it creating an overall realistic atmosphere which Eminem is well known for in his songs which can often cause controversy. The whole mysterious atmosphere also links in with the violence associated with the gun; this is shocking but suits the expected stereotype rapper.

There may also be websites and more professional photography for this album but the album cover and poster simply link together with the characteristics of a digpack. The ‘E’ from ENCORE which is backwards also creates a unique selling point which catches the attention from the fans by rebelling against conventions, analysing this further could represent Eminem rebelling and also how he does not fit into the stereotype because of his skin colour.

Leona LewisLeona Lewis’s songs are mainly based upon love and aimed at a female audience and therefore, this shows throughout her albums, singles and posters because the colour schemes are light and delicate; for the single ‘run’ the use of pink is influenced in which shows that this digpack is more feminine. Her main album spirit is dark and stands out from the singles which are all bright, this helps to separate itself showing fans that it is the album. Her hair and makeup known as mise en scene is consistent throughout, yet the fonts are inconsistent but this characteristic is unusual because it helps each product to be unique and still remains a digpack with the consistency in other areas.

Dido

Dido’s singles and album portray a digipack instantly, the colour schemes are extremely consistent: black, grey, white and red, this colour scheme is simplistic and modern. As well the font is the same throughout and therefore fans will recognise easily, the photography is also similar with the colours taken out leaving only a gray scale which contrasts greatly against the red helping to create intriguing products. Furthermore, the photography also focuses in on Dido’s face making the singles cover effective in a simple way, the use of lighting and shadows helps to make it unique though. As well, minor details of mise en scene such as hair style is consistent including the clothing outfits.

Blondie

Despite not being a modern music artist, Blondie's singles and albums still show the existence of a digipack with the layout, photography, mise en scene, fonts and colours. The black, white and red is recognisable and the font of her name also. Her clothing as well is a unique selling point with varying styles reflecting her upbeat personality portraying her music also.

Blondie herself is also photographed within the singles a lot creating unique selling points with her changing appearances, this also would make her an icon in the music industry and to fans.

Cascada

Cascada’s singles are less obvious in how they interlink together, her name is the main consistent link throughout with it being large and obvious. As well, the mise en scene, which is the makeup, hair and clothing is not easily distinguishable but Cascada herself is recognisable and therefore to fans despite her singles and albums differing greatly, there still a digipack despite it not being as obvious as others.

Green DayGreen Day, the American rock band are quite eccentric, their personalities show through in their music products with the bold colours and distinguishable mise en scene. The logo which is heart shaped is seen in the poster as well as the album and the background American flag links in with the title name of the album as well as the colour schemes which they are also dress up in.

Daniel Merriweather

Daniel Merriweather’s singles link together with the fonts and the colour of the fonts, yet the main photographs which is pictured on these singles differ from one another. They are a digipack from the small amounts of links together though, the various backgrounds help the song to be portrayed in an interesting way. The use of photography also depicts Merriweather differently which suits the lyrics of each individual song.

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris singles are each eccentric and modern, they all are different from the conventional album cover with an abstract feel similar to Coldplay's single covers.

The use of colour, such as the use of fruit is fascinating and the glasses which is a consistent logo is depicted through the computer as well as in photographs creating a unique selling point. The consistent font as well is futuristic linking into the whole modern theme surrounding his music.
