Existing Pop Music Magazines

BILLBOARDI like how this magazine font cover looks simplistic and effective at the same time, though out the different issues they have kept the same house style. I want to include I list going down the side of the top charts like this contents page but instead of have the list on the contents page I want to have a double page spread about the top charts. I think using different colours in the title is interesting and it make the magazine more recognisable.

WE LOVE POPWe Love Pop features only celebrities which are most talked about. This is a way of attaching the most amount of people that they can get I like the idea of only using famous celebrities in my magazine doing so will help me sell my magazine. This magazine is aimed at the younger teenagers where as I am trying to attract people aged 15-25. My magazine will be aimed at a larger audience. I don’t like how these magazine house styles change in every magazine there is no consistency.

TOP OF THE POPS

I think having the font cover set out of the contents page is really childish. For my contents page I will not do this as my target audience is older. I like how this magazine includes more then one photo on the double page which I find it more appealing to my audience. This magazines house style includes a bright colour which stands out making the viewer look ad the magazine more.

SPINAlthough the magazine spin is not being printed it is still running as a website. I have included spin as an example because this magazine was aimed at the same audience I want to aim my magazine at. This magazine is sophisticated and modern which is that same impression I want to make on the readers. The house style is red, black and white which is similar to the colours I want to use for mine. I am going to be using white, black and purple and I am thinking about setting my magazine out like this one because I think that this layout is good and interesting.
