In recent years, Vietnam has developed rapidly and become the world's second largest exporters after mainlandChina with the surging production growth. Vietnam has attracted many foreign manufacturing industries as well asOriginal Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to set up factories in the region. Under the Vietnamese government'svigorous promotion of industrial preferential policies and favorable trade agreements, Vietnam's political and socialenvironment has been stabilized, a young and cost‐effective labor market has been established while thetechnology and industrial chain has become more mature. It creates the triple competitive advantages ofhuman resources, cost and technology that brings new business opportunity for Hong Kong manufacturers.
Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will organize a series of seminars with the aim to offering information anduseful tips on setting up manufacturing operation in ASEAN countries. This seminar will focus on Vietnam, all‐rounded deconstructing the business opportunities of setting up factories in Vietnam, and analyzing the localinvestment environment and development prospects.
