dropped after Appointment 4.

Spring A after your Appointment 4, you

will need departmental permission.

Most Common Appointment

Questions

Scheduling to accommodate spouse or being in same region as spouse.

Students will need to coordinate this on their own with their partners. Registration cannot reserve spots for anyone.

Needing specific time off for life events.

Student can manage their own time off. If you know you need the first week of February off, don’t schedule anything in that block.

When is the best time to schedule Sub-Is, APCs and electives?

Depends on specialty, performance in Patient Care, interviews, etc. Some students need letters of recommendation from Sub-Is or APCs, in which case these should be schedule prior to ERAS opening. Keep in mind which rotations you want to be highlighted during Interviews.

How does Registration determine how many spots to open per rotation?

We don’t. Specialty department determine how many spots to offer per rotation and timeframe availability.

Fairness in appointment order.

Each student is randomly assigned a number,1 through 100. Appt #1: 1 to 100

Appt #2: 100 to 1

Appt #3: 100 to 1

Appt #4: 1 to 100

E*Value

How to Read Clerkship Availability

Is there space in the rotation?

Positive integers means the

rotation has space.

1 of 1 = there is 1 open spot in

a rotation with 1 spot

1 of 2 = there is 1 open spot in

a rotation with 2 spots

0 of 1= there are NO open

spots in a rotation with 1 spot

Blank = No spot at all

Rotation titles quick glace:

Path 680 P= Elective

PEDS 624 P-APC = Advanced Patient Care (APC)

SURG 682 P-APC- S= Sub-I/APC

Graduation Audit Report (GAR)

Great for viewing graduation progress. Clerkships are shown in the categories that they’ll count for towards graduation. Credit deficiencies also shown.

Letters of Good Standing (LOGS)

Many rotations sites will request Letters of Good Standing during the credentialing process.

Letters of Good Standing are uploaded to E*Value, students are responsible for downloading and providing them to site.

LOGS confirm student’s graduation date, status of good standing and confirms students are compliant under UW requirements.

Timeline for when Letters of Good Standing (LOGS) become available:

• Madigan: 90 days before start of rotation

• Bremerton & Bartlett: 60 days before start of rotation

• All other sites: 30 days before start of rotation
