basalt granules is not prone to corrosion even on cutting areas during installation and in case of

scratches on the layer.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

exterior wall shingles

outside/inside flashing

metal window joint flashing

galvanized nails with

broadheads, galvanized

self-tapping screws for

metal

sandpaper, hammer, knife,

snips, screwdriver

Prepare firm, dry and water-resistant

timber decking of the facade (plywood,

OSB-3, matched or cut boards).

Start installing the starting stripe from the

cornerpost of the building with a 5-10 mm

gap from the edge. Remove protective film,

cut lower "tabs" of the exterior wall

shingles and fasten with galvanized nails.

Install the first row of exterior wall

shingles over the starting stripe. Each

shingle to be fastened with 8 galvanized

nails.

The next rows of exterior wall shingles

to be installed with a half-"tab" shift

from the previous one (an approximate

indicator - ticks on the upper part of the

shingles).

Cover outside cornerposts with metal flashing using colored galvanized self-tapping screws for metal every 30 cm.

Inside cornerposts should also be

covered with flashing starting from the

bottom.

Cut the parts of the shingles protruding

beyond the outside and inside

cornerposts of the building, leaving

a 5-10 mm gap from the cornerpost.

Install drip edge on the metal window

joint flashing.The facade is ready! Time to think about a roofing…

For window frame finishing use metal

window joint flashing. Install from the

bottom upwards.
