    Description

    KidZania is an indoor family edutainment centre which offers an interactive learning andentertainment experience for kids in a kid-sized city that delivers the first-of-its-kind edutainmentfun. At KidZania, kids are empowered and inspired to pursue their lifes dreams by exploring whatits like to live and work in a real functioning city. KidZania creates a kid-centric city experiencetargeted at kids aged between 4 to 14 years, where theyre in charge of choosing among over100 role-playing activities from over 60 establishments.

    Background

    KidZania was founded in Mexico City by a young entrepreneur, Xavier Lpez Ancona, who dreamedof creating a place where kids could have fun while enjoying real-life experiences. The first park wasopened in 1999 in Mexico and every year since, KidZania has expanded globally. There are KidZaniafacilities in 15 cities in 12 countries across 4 continents. The KidZania environment is designed toremind kids that life is about options and to reach as high as possible.

    Concept

    More than a kids museum and more than a family entertainment center, KidZania is a true kid-sizedcity where kids can pick from over 100 role-playing activities from over 60 establishments, earnmoney (kidZos), pay for goods and services, manage an ATM card all the things they see adults doin real life. KidZania creates a kid-centric city experience targeted at kids aged 4 to 14 years wherethey are empowered to take charge and make their own decisions.

    The KidZania experience is about real-life experiences, empowering,inspiring and educating kids through role-play. The city is designed toremind kids that life is about options and to reach as high as possible.They feel good, are entertained while they learn and want to comeback again and again.

    Role-playing is a timeless and universal childhood activity. KidZaniaempowers and inspires kids to pursue their lifes dreams by exploringwhat its like to experience careers in a real city built just for them.KidZania believes in promoting change, inspiring global citizenshipand building strong community awareness among our kids throughan experience that is hands-on, engaging, educational and mostimportantly, fun.

    At KidZania, kids are the judges, TV crews and magicians in any one of the 100 authentic role-playing

    activities. Kids learn through experience about different professions, how a city works, financialliteracy, living in a community and how to work both independently and as a team.

    Among some of the interesting activities that kids can do during their visit to KidZania are: pilotingan airplane, putting out fires, being a paramedic or surgeon, hosting and supporting the productionof a television program, interior designing or enjoying the fun and exclusive experience of attendingclasses at university. By completing the prescribed tasks, kids earn kidZos which can be saved in thebank, or spent purchasing other goods and services.

    At KidZania, real-world brands bring authenticity to the experience. By blending reality withentertainment, KidZania provides an authentic and powerful developmental experience, preparingkids to understand and manage their world.
