Employment History Chemycare Stechford/Sheldon Birmingham July 2015 – July 2016 Completed my Pre registration at Chemycare where I undertook a wide variety of tasks such as dispensing, checking, methadone/controlled drug dispensing, stocking, delivering medication to care homes, sorting out repeats, managing the store, as well as many other tasks. Heart of England hospitals (Solihull and Heartlands) Birmingham April 2016- May 2016 Completed a 2 week cross - sector placement at the heart of England hospitals. Learnt how to work as a pharmacist at a hospital, undertook various tasks that you would not normally undertake in a community setting such as completing a drug history on an inpatient, working on cancer wards, working in aseptic laboratories, working in Medicines Information and answering drug/dose related queries. Worked on many different wards ranging from cardiovascular to respiratory. Also learnt how hospitals dispense using a dispensing robot and what their checking procedure is which is vastly different to a community checking procedure. Since I have qualified I have worked in a number of different pharmacies all over the UK working from big multichain cooperation’s such as Boots and Lloyds to smaller independent pharmacies. This has allowed me to develop many skills: Demonstrated and developed the ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of patients of different ages and backgrounds. Developed the skills to work under pressure in very busy stores. Advised customers on purchases. Checking invoices, Calculating payments. Developed a keen interest into the business side of a pharmacy and learnt key skills into what it takes to run a business.

What I like to do in my spare time:•With an active interest in fitness and a thirst for competition, I participate regularly in team sports such as football and tennis which I believe have enriched me with the qualities needed to work within a team. I also enjoy Badminton, Table tennis and snooker.

• I take pleasure in travelling and experiencing new cultures. I have been to France, USA, and Dubai with family and friends.

• I am an active member of a number of societies including the cultural awareness society where I help organise events for the public.

• I am a keen reader of various religious scriptures and enjoy expressive arts such as music and cinema literature.

. I also like to keep up to date with whats going on in clinical pharmacy and industry pharmacy and have subscriptions to magazines such as clinical pharmacy and the pharmaceutical journal.
