2012 ACUI ChampionshipsBy Invitation Only
International Trap Competition USA Shooting will host a special by invitation only Internationaal Trap competition at the 2012 ACUI National Championships to be held at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX.
The National Shooting Complex equipped and opened a single International Trap field this year which will be available during the 2012 ACUI Championships. Unfortunately a single Interna-tional Trap range cannot accommodate 400+ ACUI collegiate athletes in one day.
USA Shooting will invite the top 36 collegiate International Trap athletes to compete for two USAS National Development Team slots (one male and one female). The top male athlete must break a minimum of 92/100 targets and the top female athlete must break a minimum of 86/100 targets to be awarded a slot on the USAS Nation-al Development Team.
To be considered for an invitation to this spe-cial ACUI/USAS International Trap event you must compete in at least one USAS sanctioned International Trap competition on or before March 5, 2012. You can locate a sanctioned event on the USAS competition calendar web site: http://www.usashooting.org/membership/everyone/149-calendar
Check this web page periodically during the school year for new sanctioned International Trap competitions. We know that true Interna-tional Trap bunkers are limited across the US, but for those who are willing to travel or are lucky enough to have access to an International bunker, we strongly encourage your participa-
tion if you have a desire and motivation to be an Olympic-level shotgun athlete.
How to register for this invitation only event: 1. Compete in at least one USAS sanctioned In-ternational Trap competition on or before March 5, 2012. You can compete in as many sanctioned International Trap competitions as you like and your best score will be used for selection purpos-es. (If you have access to an International Trap bunker, please consider hosting a competition that you and others can compete in.)
2. After you have competed in a USAS sanc-tioned International Trap competition, email your name, contact information, date of the sanctioned competition, name and location of the sanctioned competition, your USAS member #, and your score from this sanctioned competi-tion to: [email protected]
You must send this information to Michael Theimer on or before March 5, 2012.
