Fall BINGO Challenge
Build a map of your
neighborhood out of LEGO® bricks or
scrap paper.
Read a nonfiction book about
plants.
Write down a favorite recipe
and then double the
measurements. Optional: make
the recipe.
Make your own puzzle out of
recycled cardboard: Draw a picture and cut out fun shapes to put back together.
Ask your friends what their
favorite pet is and make a chart.
Make a rain gauge: place a
clear bottle or jar outside. Measure the rainfall for a
month. Then draw a graph.
Egg drop challenge: Use
items around the house to protect your egg from a
drop of three feet.
Read a book with a cover that is your favorite
color.
Create a healthy weekly meal
menu for a family of four that would
not cost more than $60.00. Ask an adult for help.
Read a book about insects.
Then go outside and record how many kinds you can see in your neighborhood.
Read a book about tractors or
harvest time.
Make a list of six different shapes you can find in your bedroom and what they
were.
Measure your shadow several
times in a day and record your
findings?
Research how much school supplies cost
using well-known brand names like Elmer’s, Crayola, Bic, and Mead.
Collect several different kinds of leaves and make
them into animals.
Sort your socks, shoes, or t-shirts by color and then
create a bar graph. Which
colors were most popular?
Draw and color your school
mascot.
Read a book about weather or
climate.
Create a fall scavenger hunt
for your friends or family. Test it out
yourself.
Build a boat out of foil and see
how many pennies or dimes you could put in before it sinks.
Record your results.
Using cardboard, paper, and tape build a chair you
can sit on.
Record the daily high and low
temperatures for two weeks. Plot
them on a graph.
Make a list of states you would like to visit and
why.
Create a marble maze or run using
stuff your have around your
house.
Visit an orchard or
read about a squirrel.
Return to Barlow Library by Friday, October 9th!

Rules for Fall Challenge
1. This is a reading competition between Hardin County Libraries
2. The Fall Challenge will run from September 8th-October 6th,
2020.
3. The library with the most BINGOs will win bragging rights
and a traveling trophy.
4. A BINGO can be five squares horizonal, vertical, or diagonal.
5. Each BINGO is worth 5 points. If you complete a blackout,
then you may earn up to 50 points to help your library win!
6. Books must be checked out from your home library to count.
7. Books cannot be counted for more than one square.
8. This is designed to be fun family-friendly Fall Challenge.
9. Make sure to return your completed BINGO card to your
library by Friday, October 9th.
10. Libraries need to have their results to Eldora by the 15th.
