It’s Almost Turkey Time
Our annual turkey distribution, for existing clients only, will take place at the Franklin Food Pantry on:
Wednesday, November 16th
Last name A-I 3:00pm- 4:00pm
Last name J-Z 4:00pm- 5:00pm
We are limited to 150 turkeys this year so please be sure to sign up in advance. Unfortu-
nately we are not able to offer gift certificates.
If your receive a meal from another source, please do not receive the meal offered by the
Franklin Food Pantry.
Sign ups start Tuesday, October 11th.
You must call us or sign up at the pantry for a turkey
This will be our only distribution time so if you cannot make it please write a note authoriz-
ing someone from your household to pick up your meal during these designated hours.
Bread and Produce Thank you so much for keeping your bags of fruit and vegetables separate during weigh out. This helps us to track our produce amounts, which is a number often requested for healthy food grants.
Please know that we try our best to have fruit and vegetable choices through the entire day. Quantities vary based on what we receive from our donating partners. In order for our last appointment clients to have the same choices as our first, we are now asking to
limit your fruit and vegetables to ONE BLACK plastic bag. If we have extras, we will make a sign indicating such.
Thank you for your help in making fresh produce available to everyone.
Please remember that shopping for Bread and Produce begins at 10:00am. This allows time for our deliveries to be completed and volunteers to set up and prepare for the day.

Senior Bag Program (CSFP)
The Greater Boston Food Bank is offering a program which provides people over 60 years old an
additional 2 bags of food each month. If you are interested in signing up, please call us at the pan-
try to schedule an appointment to fill out the paperwork. Call Molly at (508)528-3115.
If you are a current recipient of the Senior bags, here are the dates for the remainder of the year:
Wednesday, October 19th
Wednesday, November 16th
Wednesday, December 21st
Weather related closure
It seems too soon to think about this, but snow will be coming in a
few months and we just wanted to remind you that the Franklin
Food Pantry is closed when the Franklin Public schools are
closed for weather related closures. When there is a school
delay we are also delayed to allow our volunteers to arrive
here safely.
Other Reminders
Shopping Bags
Please bring in reusable shopping bags with
you when shopping as we do not always have
paper/plastic available.
Appointment Reminders With the increased number of appointments in the fall, it is of vital importance that all appointments
are kept. If you miss more than 2 appointments in a row (without calling at least 24
hours prior) we will no longer be able to schedule appointments for you. You will
have to come in during “Walk In” Fridays to shop. This truly impacts the type of service
we can provide; please help us with this issue.
A Note from our Executive Director
Thank you so much to everyone who completed our survey! This data helps support our efforts to
secure a new facility. As soon as we finalize an adequate space for our growing operation we will be
sure to update you. Wishing you all a happy fall!
Erin Lynch, Executive Director
Parking
Please park in the spots with the Franklin Food
Pantry signs as we are not permitted to use the
Black Box or chiropractor office parking lots.

Help Us Help You As many of you know, our pantry depends on support from our community. One of our goals is to educate others on what we do and whom we serve so they will better understand that we are here to help them if they ever need us. We also want to show our community how their donations are helping others in a time of need.
Your testimonial can help us achieve our goal. Would you be willing to educate others by sharing your story in our communications efforts (such as a newslet-ter, video, website, etc.)? This can be done anonymously or using your name, and with or without a photograph – whatever you are comfortable with.
If you are interested in sharing your story, or have any questions, please contact Molly Kilburn at (508)-528-3115 or [email protected].
