Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life Who want you in theirs,

The ones who accept you for who you are, The ones who would do anything to see you

smile and pray for you and Love You, no matter what.

God bless our Family and Friends

RISC INVESTMENT DRIVE As you know, New Light is 1 of 12 member congregations in

Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities

(RISC), a local group who seeks justice for Richmonders in

securing affordable housing, employment, health care and other

services. This past year, RISC has been successful in securing

a commitment from Mayor Jones and 6 City Councilmembers’

for a dedicated stream of revenue for the Affordable Housing

Trust Fund, a fund which will add more jobs and affordable

housing in Richmond area. As we pursue justice work for

better jobs, employment, and affordable housing in Richmond

in 2014, we need your help! RISC needs funding to continue

its justice work to help those in our community that don’t have

a voice. On Sunday, July 21st, we will hold a special offering

where you may make a donation to support RISC. RISC

donation envelopes are available for your donation to help us

continue this important ministry work and be a voice for our

brothers and sisters in the community.
