1. What should I do in order to take part in the photography competition?
The name of the contestant

Contest title
All the above information must appear in the main body of the email that is to be sent to us. If
you choose to send it through post, please include this information inside the envelop along
with the photographs.
• There is no restriction regarding the photograph size
• Each participant can enter the contest with up to 10 photographs
• Participation is open to all individuals, regardless of age, gender, location, and origins.
• The project should be associated with the theme “Access To Safe And Effective Health
Care In Thalassaemia!"
• The photograph should be original. If you have previously published original artwork, you
can submit it to the contest as long as you own the copyright of this work.
2. Is there a limit to the size of the image?
There is no restriction regarding the photograph size
3. Is there an age limit for the contest?
There is no age limit for this contest.
4. There is a limitation on the materials that can be used by contestants
Contestants can use any material freely.

5. How many entries can I submit?
Up to 10 photographs
6. Where should I send the photograph?
The photographs should be sent to the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF), by email
to [email protected] to Ms. Liana Prastiti, TIF Communications Officer.
Please make sure the files do not exceed email bandwidth. If this is the case, please feel free
to use any other means e.g transferbigfiles.com, yousendit.com, dropbox, etc as long as
you let us know in advance. Alternatively, you can send the photographs to PO Box 28807,
2083 Strovolos, Cyprus.
7. Can I send a copy of the artwork through the post office?
Yes, it is possible to accept hardcopies of the photographs. Please send it to PO Box 28807,
2083 Strovolos, Cyprus.
8. What other information should I provide?
All entries should be include:

9. Do you need to be a resident of Europe to participate in the contest?
No, anyone from any region or part of the world can participate.
10. Can I submit a photograph which was published elsewhere?
If you have previously published original artwork, you can submit it to the contest as long as
you own the copyright of this work.
11. When is the deadline for this contest?
The closing date for the competition is 6 April 2016.
12. How many winners w ill there be?
There will be three w inners.
13. What are the prizes?
The first w inner will be given the prize of $ 500, the second the amount of $ 300 and third
the amount of $ 100.
14. When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced on TIF’s website and our social media in late May/ early June
2016 and on our Facebook/twitter page. The winners will be notified before their names are
announced.
15. Will there be an awards ceremony?
No, but the names of the winners will be announced during an art exhibition where the
photographs will be displayed. This event will be held in Cyprus in May 2016 .
16. Who will compose the jury of this contest?
The assessment will be made by a committee assigned by the Thalassaemia International
Federation.
17. How will photographs be judged?
Depending on the number of entries submitted, they may have to be divided into
categories. The selection of artwork will be done anonymously, so that none of the
participants will have an advantage over others.
