Design Statement
‘Fast Eddies Barber Shop has a unique style and is at the cutting edge of fashion and trends’
The theme for the barber shop is contemporary retro ‘a mixing of the past a present’ with touches of popular tattoo culture,
skateboarding, music and art. These elements have been subtly added to give interest to the space in an abstract way. For
example, the point of sales desk is the shape of a skateboard.
The materials chosen have been selected to compliment the contemporary retro theme. A combination of black and white
checkered vinyl flooring and white hexagon tiles have been selected for the floor of the shop. White washed brick walls
feature in the shop and a number of timber furniture pieces give warmth to the space. Touches of navy have been used to add
some colour to the otherwise masculine colour palette.
