They will also beaccessible by wheelchair ;there will be elevators andescalators . The stationsare being constructedwithout columns to givethem a feeling ofopenness .

In place of the Q , the W isback and will run localbetween Whitehall Streetin Manhattan and Astoria-

Ditmars Boulevard inQueens .
