"Life Is Out There".

Founded in 1988 by Jules Leaver and Tim Slade

Fat Face is a chain of clothing retailers selling its own branded products

While originally marketed as active outdoor clothing, it is also increasingly a fashion brand

The chain sells clothes aimed at men, women and children interested in active lifestyles

The company has over 190 stores in the United Kingdom, with international stores in Singapore, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, France, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar

Members of the Fat Face management team travel a great deal in their various roles

Area managers tend to spend a lot of time travelling around the many stores within their allotted region

Similarly, senior members of staff at head office incur an array of expenses, both across the UK and overseas, which includes attending meetings with suppliers, visiting trade shows and working on location during fashion shoots

All members of Fat Face’s management team are issued with a company credit card, with which to pay for expenses

The WebExpenses solution has made it far easier for this group of employees to process their expenses accurately and swiftly with the introduction of a credit card interface

This feature reduces processing costs and improves data quality by pre-populating expenses with corporate credit card data

Now the employees can simply upload their expenses form, which can be matched against receipts, for a quick authorisation

Corinne Tyler, Finance Manager at Fat Face says –

“In addition to time and cost-saving benefits, the new expenses package supplied by WebExpenses also helps us by giving a clear picture of what claims have been submitted by whom and when, which allows us to chase up staff that haven’t filed their expenses claim by the given deadline. It also gives the company a good overview of where and how its employees are spending money, which aids longer term budgeting and cost-efficiency.”
