Important Anodizing Information:Anodizing does not produce"flawless" color or finish on any Fesler part order
that way. In fact, you should expect to encounter minor variations (or what
some call "blemishes") in the color and finish in individual pieces. Every Fesler
finish is unique in this regard. Remember, these variations are normal, and do
not affect the performance of the part in any way.

Fesler Billet designs all parts off original OEM applications. Due to the vast
array of manufacturers for aftermarket parts, it is possible that you may have to
make some minor adjustments to either our part or your sheet metal in order
for the part to fit properly.

REMOVING YOUR OLD HINGES
1. Remove four bolts retaining trunk lid and remove trunk lid2. Remove trunk hinge springs.3. Remove the retainer holding the trunk hinge in place (side cutters, pliers or a
flat screwdriver will work)
4. Remove the stock hinges5. Install the new hinges in place of stock ones. Ball stuff will face center of car.6. Install the new retainers. You can use a socket to drive the retainer on.7. Remove the rear interior window trim and rear package tray.
INSTALLING YOUR NEW HINGES
8. The channel below the window trim andbehind the package tray is where the new
strut mounts will be attached.
9. From inside the trunk, measure and findcenter at the rear of the package tray. Make
a mark at center and in line
10. From that center mark, measure out 16
and make another mark. Do this on both sides
of the center mark. Once you have made
marks, place a piece of tape just on the
outside of each new mark.
11. Use the strut mount as a template to mark youholes by lining the bracket up with the mark
(bracket will be to the outside of the mark)
making sure that it is seated square against the
body.
12. Use an awl to transfer the location of the new holes to the body.
13. Slide a deep socket or a spacer over a 1/8 drill
bit and drill pilot holes through the marks. Be
careful not to hit the rear window with the drill
bit.
14. With pilot holes marked, change bits and drill out holes to using same
technique as in step 13.
15. From the inside of the car, reach through the package tray and line up the
brackets with the new holes (a friend holding this bracket from the trunk sidewill make the job easier)
16. Install two -20 x button head bolts andflat washers to secure each strut bracket.
17. Install struts with cylinder body towards the
front of the car.
18. Reinstall the trunk lid using four 5/16-18 x button head bolts and Fesler billetwashers.
19. Re-align the trunk lid and check operation.
20. Re-install package tray and rear window moldings.
