As a landscaper, gardener, tree trimmer, etc., there are a variety of ways for you to use lawn signs to reach clients. Most lawn care companies often don't have a storefront, so yard signs are an important way to advertise your business.

Since most of the work is done in the yard, what better way to feature your expertise?

To ensure that your signs will be effective and worth the money, think about what makes your business stand out. You'll feature this in the design of your signs, so that everyone who views them will be giving you a call.

Continued from Page 1 5 Great Ways to Use Yard Signs

1. Current Job-Site - While you're working on a job-site, ask your client if they will allow you to display a yard sign promoting your business. Potential customers will notice that there's work going on in your client's yard, and they'll likely be interested to know who's doing the work. Display a sign that shows your business name and contact information gives interested parties someone to contact for their own yards.

2. Finished Job-Site - For those clients you've really made happy, ask permission to display a sign in the yard for a set amount of time after you're finished. Your completed work should speak for itself, but neighbors and passers-by will need to know who to call in case they need yard work.

3. Yard of the Month - Work with local neighborhood associations to sponsor a "Yard of the Month" program. This could be spotlighting well-groomed yards in the neighborhood (as you know these customers are already interested in your products and services) or even politely offering a discount to homeowners whose yards need a little TLC (you know these customers need your help).

The goal is to get your business name out in the surrounding area.

4. Business Identification - If you do have an actual storefront, you'll need some sort of yard sign in front displaying your name and contact information so customers can easily find out.

Mounting a metal or wood sign is the best option as it will last for a very long time and makes your business look more professional.

5. Storefront Promotions - When you're offering a seasonal promotion or special deal for new customers, use lawn signs to promote it.

Signs are bold, colorful, and get lots of attention, so they're the perfect way to attract clients into your business to book an appointment with one of your team members.

Your business is based in the yard,

so yard signs are the perfect way to promote it.

Don't make your signs so big that they detract from the beauty of your work, of course, but make sure they can be seen from anyone passing by.

You'll be reaching new customers in no time!
