Murder Creek Short Film Murder Creek is a short film written and directed by Ak-

ron native, Kristen Skeet. Synopsis of the film: While investigating recent serial

killings in a park in the small village of Akron, New York, a young writer explores the ghostly legends be-hind the name of the creek running through it: Murder

Creek. Murder Creek was shot in September of 2018 and

was filmed almost exclusively in Akron. Akron filming locations included Akron Park, Candy Apple Cafe,

and Nickel City Arts. The cast and crew also ventured to the Orchard Park Railway Depot for one scene. Murder Creek runs just over 17 minutes and stars Rachael Klein, and Akron natives Kevin Gay and

Gary Sundown.

Movie News Thursday, February 27th

5:00 pm Movie Night: Overcomer

High school basketball coach John Harrison and his team face an uncertain future when their town's largest manufacturing plant

shuts down unexpectedly. As hundreds of people move away, John reluctantly agrees to coach cross-country, a sport he does-n't even like. His outlook soon changes when he meets Hannah Scott, an unlikely runner who pushes herself to the limit. Inspired

by the words and prayers of a new friend, John starts to train Hannah for the biggest race of her young life.

Tonight’s dinner Lasagna, Salad, Roll & Dessert.

The cost for dinner will be $5 per person. Please sign up and pay in office by Thursday, February 20th

AARP Smart Driver Course Tuesday, March 10th—9am

Save money on your car insurance and increase your driving skills by attending the AARP Safe Driving

class. The fee for the AARP Driver Safety Program is $25 for AARP members and $30 for

non-members. Payment in the form of a check payable to AARP is due no later than the week prior

to secure your seat. Indicate AARP membership number in the memo section of your check. Class

begins at 9 am, ending 3:30 pm. Stop by Senior Center or call

542-6645 to register. Consider joining us for lunch. For individuals 60 and over the cost is a donation of $3 and those under 60 the suggested donation is $5. Reservations for lunch

can be made when registering for the class. Next Classes: May 19th, July 14th, September 8th

and November 10th– 2020

SHUFFLEBOARD NEWS Calling all shuffleboard players!

Spring session of shuffleboard will begin on Monday, February 24th. All games will be played on consecutive Mondays at 11 am. There will be

8 teams. 1st 8 teams will get preference. All other players who sign up can be substitutes.

We always need substitutes. Results of the games are posted each week.

If you haven’t played before and would like to try, please come join us. It is friendly competi-

tion and easy to learn.

Customer Appreciation Day at Seneca Niagara Join the fun as the seniors head to Seneca Niagara Casino. The cost for

this trip is $26 (including driver tip) per person with passenger incentive of $30.00 in slot dollars & Free Lunch Buffet.. Sign up and pay ASAP

to guarantee your seat as this trip will fill quickly . (very limited seating available)

*Incentives are compliments of the Casino and are subject to change.

Must be 21years of age or older to enter casino floor, to receive incen-tive, or to qualify for any promotions. Valid State/Federal issued ID is

required to receive incentive (government issued driver’s license, non-driver’s picture ID,

or passport.

Tuesday, February 25th Dinner—5pm

Meal Service Program We are offering our monthly meal service program to the seniors

in our community. Join us at 5pm for a healthy and delicious meal. The meal is FREE from the grant we received from The Hubert &

Dennis Bernhardt Foundation but we are asking for a suggested donation of $3.00 so that once the grant runs out we can continue

this program. There is a maximum of 40 people, and you must sign up ahead of time.

Pinochle Tournament ANSC hosts a monthly pinochle tournament. We invite all pinochle

Saturday, February 29th Buffalo Bandits Lacrosse Outing

What is lacrosse : Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry,

pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal. Come spend a evening at Key Bank Arena and watch the Buffalo Ban-

dits take on the Halifax, Thunderbirds from Nova Scotia. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the event is FREE . You will have to provide your own transportation. Thank you to Michelle
