Camille Loi, Asistente del Programa de apoyo a la legislación veterinaria El orden del día y la lista de participantes figuran en los Anexos I y II. El grupo fue presidido por el Dr. Howard Batho. La Sra. Ambra Gobena no puedo asistir, pero remitió al Dr. Sherman sus comentarios sobre el cuestionario del programa de apoyo a la legislación veterinaria (PALV) en el marco de su revisión. Antes de la reunión se distribuyeron los siguientes documentos y enlaces: Cuestionario del programa de apoyo a la legislación veterinaria (parte 1 y 2, y notas de orientación) Estrategia de la OIE para la reducción de las amenazas biológicas Directrices de la OIE sobre gestión de desastres y reducción de los riesgos en relación con la sanidad, el bienestar animal y la salud pública veterinaria Convención sobre Armas Biológicas y Toxínicas Resolución 1540 del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU Ley Tipo CIRC-VERTIC: ‘Ley Tipo: Ley sobre los delitos relativos a las armas biológicas y toxínicas Guía Vertic para la Reglamentación de la Convención de 1972 sobre Armas Biológicas y Toxínicas y Requisitos Relacionados de la Resolución 1540 del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU Ley Tipo para la Reglamentación de la Convención de 1972 sobre Armas Biológicas y Toxínicas y Requisitos Relacionados de la Resolución 1540 del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU 1. Observaciones preliminares La Dra. Monique Eloit, directora general de la OIE, dio la bienvenida a los miembros del grupo. Indicó al grupo que, en su revisión del Capítulo 3.4. “Legislación veterinaria” del Código Terrestre, diferenciaran los objetivos de los medios para determinar si las bases legislativas para la reducción de las amenazas biológicas en el campo veterinario se podían aclarar más. El Código Terrestre deberá incluir elementos que sólo entren dentro del campo de aplicación de las normas, sin ofrecer demasiado detalle, sensibilizando acerca de las obligaciones a la hora de afrontar un problema de amenaza biológica sin ser demasiado prescriptivo. Por lo tanto, los integrantes del grupo ad hoc han de encontrar el justo equilibrio entre los ajustes necesarios en el Código Terrestre y los elementos que puedan desarrollar en directrices separadas. 1 Nota: el informe de este grupo ad hoc refleja las opiniones de sus integrantes y no necesariamente las de la OIE. IMPORTANT: READ BEFORE INSTALLATION

Step 1: Prior to Installation

A) Stampede Products only approves installing these Fender Flares according to these written

instructions with the hardware provided. WARNING: Failure to install according to these

instructions will invalidate the warranty. This includes, but not limited to using alternative

installation methods, hardware, or materials. DO NOT USE: Loctite, SuperGlue, or similar products

on the hardware or the flares.

B) Inspect the Fender Flares thoroughly for defects or damage and verify the contents of package.

C) Verify the fit of the flares to the vehicle. (Some filing, sanding, or cutting may be necessary to

ensure proper fit).

D) Painting (Optional): PAINTED FLARES CANNOT BE RETURNED, TEST FIT BEFORE PAINTING. If

painting is desired it must be done prior to installing flares on vehicle. Clean outer surface with a

good grade degreaser. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER OR ENAMEL REDUCER AS A DEGREASER.

Wipe outer surface thoroughly with a tack rag prior to paint. Application of plastic adhesion

promoter for ABS plastic as per your paint syste a ufactu e ’s eco e datio s is e ui ed. Pai t fla es usi g a high uality enamel, or polyurethane automotive paint. If painting edge trim (not recommended) use a flex additive.

Step 2: Installation

A) Edge Trim Installation:

a. Peel three inches of red backing away from edge trim adhesive and affix to outer edge of flare at one end.

b. Press edge trim into place along edge of flare in one-foot increments, pulling red backing free as you continue to work your

way around the flare. (Figure 1)

B) Bolt installation: (Only applies to the Ruff Riderz style pocket flares, for all others skip to the next

step).

a. Place a 5/16 button head screw with a washer into each of the holes and attach to the flare

using a nut placed on the inside. (Figure 2)

b. Warning: Do not over tighten or use Loctite on the bolts as this will cause permanent

damage to the flares. Bolts are decorative only and fasten only to the flares. Do not

attempt to use the bolts to fasten the flares to the vehicle.

C) Front Flare Installation:

a. Remove the two factory screws from the mudguard at the rear of the wheel well (Figure 3) using a T-15 Torx bit. Retain the

hardware for installing the flares.

b. Hold the flare firmly in place and start the two screws removed from the mudguard through the two bottom rear holes in the

flare and into the factory holes in the rear of the wheel well. Do not tighten.

c. With the two factory screws already started and applying firm pressure to the flare, drill into the sheet metal lip with the

included drill tip screws through the pre-drilled holes in the flare indicated in Figure 4.

d. Tighten the two factory screws after all the drill tip screws are installed.

D) Rear Flare Installation:

a. Remove the two factory screws from the mudguard at the rear of the wheel well (Figure 5) using a T-15 Torx bit. Retain the

hardware for installing the flares.

b. Completely remove the factory mud guard from the front of the wheel well by removing the four factory screws indicated in

Figure 6. Retain the hardware for installing the flares. Only three of the six total factory screws will be reused in the

installation of the flare.

c. Hold the flare firmly in place by lining up the bottom of the flare first. Start one of the screws removed from the rear

mudguard through the bottom rear holes in the flare and into the factory hole in the rear of the wheel well. Do not tighten.

d. With the flare still held firmly in place, start the two screws removed from the front mudguard through the two bottom front

holes in the flare and into the factory holes in the front of the wheel well. Do not tighten.

e. With the three factory screws already started and applying firm pressure to the flare, drill into the sheet metal lip with the

included drill tip screws through the pre-drilled holes in the flare indicated in Figure 7.

f. Tighten the three factory screws after all the drill tip screws are installed.
