Stewardship Thought: “I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another." (John 13:34)

It is easy to love someone when they love you back. But it takes strength and courage to love someone when we feel unappreciated, used or feel our opinion doesn’t matter. It takes courage to “love my neighbor” when he may be someone I don’t like, someone I don’t know or someone that doesn’t look like me.

2019 Annual Bishop’s Appeal As of May 16th our parish has achieved 23% towards our goal of 100% participation. The suggested pledge goal for our parish is $61,264.00. Our current pledges total $34,418.00 with 302 of our 1313 families participating. While the financial need is $4.2 million, our parish goal of 100% participation is a goal we are working hard to attain. There are many ways in which you

can participate. Please PRAY for the success of the Annual Bishop’s Appeal. Your prayers are meaningful and critical to

our success as a Church family. DONATE to the Appeal. Use the response card you received in the mail OR use an envelope found in your pew to respond. Please submit a response card even if you are unable to make a gift of any dollar amount. Your response will count towards our parish participation goal.

VOLUNTEER your time and talents to any of the ministries of the Church. We ask every family to prayerfully participate in the Annual Appeal. We also encourage you to speak with friends and family members who are not active in the parish at this time. Thank you in advance for your reflection and generous response.

May is Williams Syndrome Awareness Month. Williams Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that is present at birth and can affect anyone. It is characterized by medical problems, including cardiovas-cular disease, developmental delays, and learning disabilities. These occur side by side with striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities, and an affinity for music. Your family is invited to a free fun filled event with dancing, face painting, crafts, and more. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the WSA. The Williams Syndrome Association is the most comprehen-sive resource for people and families living with WS as well as doctors, researchers, and educators. The WSA provides the resources and referrals that families need, and a strong and supportive community with which to connect throughout their child's life.
