REST IN PEACE Wanda Marut, mother of Dr. Edward Marut

May the faithful departed rest in peace.

Apri l 7 , 2019 · F i fth Sunday of Lent

This Tuesday at 7 pm we will host

a Lenten Penance Service for the

parishes in our area. There will be

several priests hearing confessions

and there will be the options of

face-to-face or the confessionals. I

hope that you will consider joining us for special

time of Lenten prayer.

We welcome the 1st graders of our community

to the 10:30 Mass this weekend. They, with the

help of some adults, will be taking on many of the

liturgical roles at Mass. Thank you to all of the

adults who help to prepare these kids and to

those who accompany them to Mass.

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, the beginning of

Holy Week. The complete Holy Week and Easter

schedule will be in the mail to every family in the

coming days, will be in next week’s bulletin and

will also be sent electronically. If you are in town,

please consider joining us in prayer during the

three days of next week’s Triduum – Holy

Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday.

Over the spring break new bleachers were

installed in the gym. The old bleachers had gotten

to the stage where parts were not readily available

to fix the problems caused by normal usage and

age. I am grateful to our PTO and the many people

–esp. our school children -- who helped raise the

money over the past two years to complete this

project via the Boosterthon/Fun Run.

- Father Marty

Guided Adoration with Fr. Thomas

“Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was a beautiful experience with Fr. Thomas Philip. Instead of just sitting in silence, he prompted us with reflection

questions that greatly helped me with my prayers. Fr. Thomas’ approach enriched my spiritual experience. I look forward to going again!”

(FHC parishioner)

Fr. Thomas will be leading Guided Adoration every Wednesday in Lent at 7:00 pm.

Give yourself the gift of this beautiful, meditative experience.

For more information about Eucharistic Adoration, pick up a brochure on the west side

in the back of church.

WE REMEMBER THEM

In the rising of the sun and its going down, we remember them

In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.

In the opening of the buds and in the warmth of the summer, we remember them

In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.

In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them

When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.

We are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.

When we have joys we yearn to share, we remember them.

So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us as we remember them.
