How do I download an exam?

As such, please visit your Institution’s Custom Home Page, log in to the Exam Takers page and click ‘Exam History’. How do I connect to the wireless network?

Insert or enable you wireless network card.

For Windows XP user’s right-click the wireless icon located in the system tray , select ‘View Available Wireless Networks’ as shown below and follow the on screen instructions.

For Windows Vista users, right-click the wireless icon located on the system tray , select ‘Connect to a network’ and follow the on screen instructions.

For Windows 7 users, left-click the wireless icon located on the system tray , then left-click the desired available wireless connection and select ‘Connect’.

What if my laptop does not have wireless capability OR there is no wireless network at my exam site?

You may upload from any location where Internet connectivity is available (Home; Office; Hotel; Internet Café’s; etc). You are still required to upload your answers by the deadline so we suggest determining in advance where Internet connectivity is available close to the test site.

How will I know my answers are being uploaded?

A visual ‘progress status’ (blue bar) is displayed as the upload takes place. When the upload is complete, a ‘success’ message is displayed and you will have the option to view your Exam Download/Upload History. An email confirmation is then sent to the email address provided when you registered.

How can I confirm ExamSoft has received my answer files?

Option 1: Launch SofTest, click ‘Exam History’ and enter your login information. This will display your Exam Download/Upload History on your Internet web browser.

Option 2: Visit your Institution’s Custom Home Page (CHP), enter your login information on the Exam Taker page. Once logged in, click the ‘Exam History’ button.

Both options will display the Exam Download/Upload History page, which is a detailed report of your account activity; it includes the date and time every exam is downloaded and uploaded. You may print a copy of this page if you need a confirmation of the upload.

What if I have a problem uploading my answers?

Contact ExamSoft Technical support via email at [email protected] or by phone toll-free at 866.429.8889.

Do I need a USB Memory Stick to make a backup?

EITHER

No. Making backup copies is optional. If you wish to make a back up you may do so. Instructions may be downloaded from http://www.examsoft.com/usbu.

OR

Yes. Making backup copies is mandatory. Instructions will be provided on Exam Day Instructions may also be downloaded from http://www.examsoft.com/usbu.

Answer File Upload File Instructions Upload Answer Files SofTest will auto-upload your answer file(s). To do so, turn on your computer, launch SofTest if it’s not already open, connect to the Internet and follow the on-screen instructions. Manual Upload If auto uploading your answer file fails you may use the Manual Upload option. To use the Manual Upload connect to the Internet and click on or copy and paste the following link into your Web Browser: www.examsoft.com/manup

When the Manual Upload log in appears enter your ID and password and follow the instructions as displayed in Figure 1 and Figure 2 below.

How to Confirm your Answer File Uploaded Successfully

Option 1: SofTest Upload Confirmation Message

Once you reboot your computer after an exam, SofTest will search for an Internet connection. If an Internet connection is available, SofTest will automatically upload your answer file (Figure 3).

If your answer file is uploaded successfully, you will receive a confirmation message screen (Figure 4).

Selecting ‘Yes’ opens your Internet web browser and displays your Exam Download/Upload History page. (Figure 5)

Option 2: Accessing the Exam Download/Upload History Page Using SofTest

You can also access the Exam Download/Upload History page through SofTest. To do so, double-click the SofTest icon on your Windows Desktop, click the Exam History button (Figure 6, A) and enter your login information (Figure 6, B); once you click ‘Next’, the Exam Download/Upload History page will be displayed (Figure 7) on your Internet web browser.

You can also access the Exam Download/Upload History page from any computer worldwide by visiting your Institution’s Custom Home Page (CHP) and logging in to the Exam Taker page. Once logged in, click the ‘Exam History’ button (Error! Reference source not found.).
