Filtering a Crossplot of 2 Log properties by Depth Log or Well Tops

1. Open up a Function window, toggle on the Wells folder (all wells are selected) and select the 2 logs to be cross-plotted. Here, Gamma and Porosity logs are shown as examples.

2. Right click on the Well Tops folder and select Insert/update zone log, this will create a “Zone log linked to ‘Well Tops’” log at the bottom of the Global well logs folder. 3. Next, under Filter folder, right click on User and select Create 1D filters

4. For filtering by Depth, open the settings for the 1D filter and drop in the Wells folder in the Object to filter field, and select the Depth log for filtering. Type in the Min and Max depth of interest, click Apply to see changes in the Function window. 5. For filtering by Well tops, open the settings for the 1D filter and drop in the Wells folder again in the Object to filter field, and select the Zone log linked to ‘Well Tops’ log for filtering. Select the zone(s) of interest, click Apply to see changes in the Function window.

6. For visualization options, in the Style tab of the 1D filter settings, select either Remove points outside filter or Highlight selected data, click Apply to see corresponding changes in the Function window. 7. Toggle on all or specific well(s) in the Input pane for individual well filtering
